We have a shoes off policy in the house, but the shop definitely requires shoes. I have safety shoes set up loose so I can step in to them. With this shoe horn I can keep my shoes laced tight and still step in easily. The only downside is the shape of this thing. It needs to slide over the rear of the shoe on both the inside and outside. For shoes with thin heel cup material this is fine, but for thick shoes this becomes unnecessarily difficult. Why? Why did they feel the need to encompass the heel? Surely just a lip or two hooks would have done the trick to secure it. With a short lip you could successfully use this even if you didn't get it attached to the shoe. With the current shape you can't use it at all if you can't slide it over the heel cup. Guess what? The shoes I use most are thick. I have to use my foot to help push the horn on. The telescopic pole and spring are attached to the bottom of the horn which is probably why it is shaped this way, but they don't need to be. Seems like a case of design tunnel vision.One concern we had was the flexibility of the material as advertised. We feared it would be sticky like rubber, but it is more of a flexible and slick plastic.This works great for most shoes, but if your shoe has a thick puffy heel (like a lot of elderly shoes) then you should get a regular long shoe horn.

This shoe horn, which I received through Vine, is a helpful tool while putting on shoes without bending. The adjustable length is a thoughtful feature. While it works well with firm shoes like dress shoes, it is a little tricky with softer sneakers.

The only thing I don't like about this is that is it rather bulky, but it is great for holding shoe backs into place while putting on shoes.

I cannot be satisfied with this. It does not fit my shoe in any fashion and therefore simply does not work as a shoehorn for me. It feels "cheap" and flimsy and although I have not forced it to comply, I feel certain it will break upon any degree of forced execution. I'll keep trying and I'll edit my review if required but I am not a fan.

As both both visiting and resident seniors in our household become less flexible with advancing age, this genius telescopic shoe horn has mad a welcome addition in the street shoe-to-house slipper changing station just inside the front entryway of our apartment. It also helps preserve the rear heel area of better leather shoes...and as an unexpected extra added bonus, the kids seem to quite like "playing shoe store" with it when they come visit!Update: This nifty device has become quite essential in our household's comings and goings. The stainless steel shaft, which has a lovely wooden handle, telescopes from 10” up to 31”, so you can use this to help slip on your shoes whether you are sitting or standing. You can easily adjust the height, but if you continuously stand or sit, it will stay in that position, which is quite handy. I can use it with my heels, which are made of relatively thin material and it also works great with my closed clogs.(But with thick sneaker backs? Not so much. I think I just have to get those sneakers with the backs that pop back up after you slide your foot in.)Nevertheless, with ALMOST all of my shoes - it's a totally excellent, great product!
