This is a good and solid built boot jack that is super easy to put together. All you have to do is install the bottom wood piece with a single screw and it is ready to use. Makes taking off my work boots and shoes so much easier! I have no doubts that this will last me a lifetime.Overall I am very happy with this boot jack and how well it works but I did take one star off because the grip pads on the top are cut uneven making it look like there was no attention to detail when being assembled.

When I unboxed this item, I wasn't expecting it to be so "cute". It has a donkey face that looks ready to chomp. Very, very sturdy - I doubt highly that this would break easy. Only thing... when it arrived, it was missing the foot stand - that is the part that connects to the bottom that makes the entire thing teeter to take off the boot. Amazon was quick to rectify the situation and sent out a new one. Overall this is a very quality boot puller and I am impressed!

Very happy with this boot jack! I ordered this for my partner who has not only arthritis and back problems, but he has Parkinson’s as well. All of which make it hard for him to remove his shoes (and boots). He was really pleased when I showed it to him. He said he used to make them when he was younger. It was really easy to put together, easy enough he could do it himself. Just one simple bolt which came taped inside the block part of the boot jack.I honestly didn’t realize that this had an alligator face on it when I ordered it (it also looks like a dragon). I was very much amused by it, and thought it was a fun way to add on the black non slip tread.My partner tried it out and he said it worked slick and was very pleased with it. The only issue we had, had nothing to do with the boot jack itself, but might be helpful to think about if you are in a similar situation as us.He takes his shoes off near his lift recliner, and then sits in it. Once sitting he has a hard time being able to move this out of the way when he needs stands again. He is able to push it some with his cane. Because of balance issues he needs to be sitting when he uses this.The quality of this is good!

Having worn boots for much of my life, I most definitely know a quality boot jack when I see one! This IS ONE! This unit is impressive in its basic construction. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing complicated or unnecessarily fancy or anything, other than good basic heavy-duty construction! If this Boot Jack does not last you for MANY years, I will need to contend that you are careless with your property! It is made to last!The wood is impressively thick and is finished so as to avoid any kind of slivers or anything like that. There is the absolute tiniest of tasks that one does need to complete. To screw the underlying clog (Is that the word for it even?) not entirely sure on that, but it is a very small yet high quality piece of wood that you will utilize a screwdriver to simply screw just one small bolt into the bottom of the platform that elevates it to allow you get the most desirable angle for enabling the removal of your work boots. Nothing to that task. It is really a 30 second job. Effortless really!The area that is cut out where you put your heels to remove your boots even has a very nice covering, so as to avoid scratching up your boot or shoe heels. I love that. It is a wonderful feature. Years ago, I had a boot jack that was made of wood as well that DID NOT have that covering, and it did end up scratching my boot heels, quite heavily in fact. That being the case, I love the idea of having it protected in order to avoid scratching up your heels. Nearly all of my use will be confined to actual work-type boots, that have already seen heavy use, so I am not as overly concerned about potential scratches now, however for any readers who may be utilizing this boot jack for removing dressier boots it is good for you to know of the protection afforded to your boot heels. This covering will keep your boots looking their best! It is a good feature!Another good point is that this boot jack is longer than most I have used. I love that feature simply because I DO have large feet. This jack affords me sufficient length to enable me to step onto the platform to hold it in place while you insert your heel into the jack to remove the boot from the other foot. That is an easy to overlook feature that should go into the plus column as well! Additionally, the flat surface upon which your steps is protected against slippage of your rear foot as there is a nonslip overlay to both protect against scratching the wood of the bootjack, to keep it looking good, as well as avoiding potential for one's foot slipping from the platform, enabling greater stability! Another positive that is frequently overlooked!If you haven't guessed by now, I most definitely give my full endorsement and recommendation for this boot jack. It is attractive, structurally sound, and will last through many years of active and dependable use, making this jack an actual sound investment. It is also, in a very real sense, also an investment in your boots or shoes, as it will prevent you from ever needing to pry your boots off by scratching them up by removing boots by dragging your heel against a concrete step.
