Took the vacuum apart, which took a long time. Only to find that the housing won't let you bolt it up. The mounts are too tall for the screw to reach. Took the original apart and swapped the new motor. Both sides were the same so I swapped the motor on the other one also. Put it all back together and it's been working for a couple weeks so far.

I got this to replace the broken one on my robot shark. According to the model listing it should fit my unit. The motor housing was very similar at first glance but the mounting tabs are off just enough to where it won't properly fit, could cut a tab then only use two screws. But I took apart both the old motor and new motor, swapping over the new electric motor and gears to the old housing. Then it fit fine. Then the next issue, the power wire was 4 inches short, I ended up soldering on extra length to make it work. Overall could be better for such a cheap part to replace. Definitely not a plug and play replacement, but I enjoy the challenge of making things work.

I had to remove the motor and put it in the factory brush drive case and solder the wire from the old motor to the new motor to reach the connection.
