Provided good buffering for a surf trip where we surfed a lot more than we usually do. Only thing was that we probably could’ve squeezed into a size down and had it tight, and in hindsight that would’ve been better, because after a couple of days surfing the size we had started to stretch out a tiny bit and move a little bit, causing its own chafing

I am finally not irritating my sternum. I had open heart surgery and my sternum was very tender when paddling on my board. This rash guard fits perfectly and the pad is perfect positioned so that your lower ribs and sternum are very protected. Love it!

I’m a cold water surfer who gets horrible chest rash when I travel to warm water spots. This ‘RIBBY’ completely prevented that during a week of 2xday surfing in Costa Rica. The 5mm neoprene pad stays put and I didn’t notice it at all in the water. I’m a little worried some of the seams got stressed when I pulled it off roughly and may start to give in the medium term, but it’s hanging tough so far. The results, ie surfing pain free for a week, have been well worth the cost!

My upper ribs stick out more than normal so soreness has been an issue for me over the last 10+ years of surfing. I’ve been using makeshift solutions of extra neoprene padding sewn into my wetsuits, so was happy to see a padded rash guard on Amazon that I could simply wear under my suit.When I asked the company the thickness of the chest/rib area they said “5mm” which would have been perfect so I ordered one right away. However when I received it, I was disappointed to find that it was incredibly thin. Probably only 2mm thick if that! For a reference point, I held it up to my 2mm shorty wetsuit and it was barely as thick as that. If the company would actually make a 5 mil padded rash guard I’d certainly consider buying one, but the one I received was nowhere close to that thickness so I had to return it.

LIFESAVER! Loved this padded rash guard for our surfing trip we just did to Costa Rica! Used it every day for a week and it helped prevent our ribs from getting sore. We surfed twice a day for a week and were so glad we had one!!
