Although I ordered Rico Reserve Classic reeds, I received D'Addario reeds that I did not order. I am very upset over this substitution.

以前からバンドレンのリードを使用していましたが、値段が高いため、リコーに変えてみました。思ったよりも、吹き心地がよく、値段が安いので、満足しています!

I've been using these for about a year and a half now, and they are the best sounding and most consistent reeds of all I've tried. Typically, I get 8-9 good playable reeds per box. In an 8 reed rotation, they'll last about 4 months. Maybe a little more. Just recently I finished working through a box of the "D'Addario" reserve classic reeds. The name may be the same, just the brand name changed. But they are far from the same reeds. Out of the box, I got 4 good reeds. And two of those died in less than 2 months. Now maybe this was a bad box. I'll have to be fair and try another box. But I think they really are changed. I understand Mark Nuccio is no longer involved either. Now recently I picked up, and opened tonight a box of the "original" Reserve Classics. Started 2 of them on breaking in, and both were flawless. I anticipate both will be first rate when fully broken in. Now I need to go and order 4 or 5 more boxes of these. But that's just a short term fix. Ultimately I think I'm going to have to find something else. Not sure what that will be.

A music teacher that is in the same band as I, recommended these reeds to me. I tried them, I liked them!! I have to say that almost everyone of them out of the box sounded good. I've gotten a few boxes and the same thing. Most of them sound really good. They also seem to last a decent amount of time. I've had other reeds that last about a week of everyday playing. These have lasted me approx. a month and then I use them on another clarinet as a practice reed and get another couple of weeks out of them.I would say that I got about 6 good reeds out of a box and the others I worked on a bit and used for about a couple of weeks. The sound is really good from these reeds, on the high notes as well as the low notes. They give me a warmer sound than other Rico reeds I've tried. They are expensive though, but for me worth it.

The Rico Reserve Classics I have used have been good quality cane and consistently having more good reeds to a box and ordinary. I rated them a 4 star because I still prefer another brand a tiny bit better as far as tone quality, but I will continue to buy these. Way to go Rico.

I've used the Rico Reserve, Rico Reserve Classic, Vandoren V12, Grand Evolution Red and Blue box, and Vandoren Rue Lepic. These are by far my most favorite reeds they give a warm/dark, colorful, projective, and light tone. Now there are lots of duds (but some boxes I didn't get as any maybe 2) and there are many ways to fix them (I've gotten all 10 reeds to work). I'll list them here (these are the methods I use);1. There is a U cut at where the shoulder is and on the side there is bark SHAVE IT OFF by either a reed knife or sandpaper (It will give a more lighter and warmer tone)2. Buy the ATG System and sand them down as soon as you find a reed that won't play3. Give them time (at least 3 days after the first day of use)I still use these and I think I will use them forever. If you want an in-depth guide on how to break reeds and more just PM please. If someone says, "Rico is bad" I challenge them to use this reed or the Reserve reed.Update: I really do love these reeds but like all other Arundo Donax reeds they change with weather. I am thinking about Legere reeds.Update: Legere didn't deliver what I wanted or needed.

I am using this with vandoren B40 lyre and Fobes Eurpoa mouthpieces. The strength is just right and allows me to project quite easily in the concert hall. Its a little pricey though, but I suppose this cant be help with the costs of accessories rising everywhere. The reeds are in almost playable condition right out from the box...not much seasoning is required. The reeds I have gotten out from the box are quite balance, and need little adjustment. However if you prefer a longer reed life, you should still observe the usual seasoning process.

these reeds are not cheap, and it doesn't help when my boy has to toss out a few of them due to defects(sounds horrible on his expensive R13)at this price, I expect to get 9 good ones out of the box

Rico Reserve reeds are the only Perfect Reed Right Out of the Box I have ever used!Don't use it too long the first couple of times, though, because they will get waterlogged. But, if need be, you could play a concert with them, even without being "broken in."The Rice Reserve and the Rico Classic Reeds are great for the price, as well. Don't let the name "RICO" turn you off. These are NOT the beginner reeds you used when you started.I use all strengths from 3.5+ to 4.5 and find they all work well.Try them - I find they beat even the VanDoren V-12s !!!!
