My package wasn’t ten pounds which is one reason why I rated lower. It melted smooth but there was some cracks and holes after it dried. Using the hot air gun helped with that. The scents held well so I was happy about that. I am newer to candlemaking so I’ll have to adjust some things

After wax was cured was not smooth and even after burning the candle for a while and once it solidified it was still not smooth. Also it does not burn evenly.

My wife uses soy wax for many projects. Candles and scent wax for her wax melts are the two most favorite. She also uses this wax to make lotion for her skin which she claims is better than other lotion bases.We were both surprised at how large this bag is! this is enough for several families to have wax for their projects for years.I don't know much about using this wax but I sure enjoy the fragrance that the projects she makes with it emit. The whole house smells great when she cranks up the wax warmers! Highly recommend this package of soy wax for your crafter in the house! You will enjoy the great smell it results in when the fragrance oils of your choice are added.

This is a quality all-natural soy wax which comes in flake form in a resealable sturdy package. I acquired it to make homemade container candles and am currently making pinks for Valentine's Day and greens for St Patrick's Day. I first tested the product by making a candle containing fragrance but no colorant – you can see in my photo the beautiful white candle that this wax produced. All the other candles in my photos have had both colorant and fragrance added and the wax accepted both easily. I did have a few “wet spots” on some of my candles – but that is not the fault of the wax, probably occurred as I didn't cool the candles on a rack. I experience no cracking on the candle tops, no fragrance leaching, and no air bubbles. I am excited to burn the candles, but they haven't cured long enough yet to light them. I love the fact that this is soy wax – an eco-friendly and renewable source that is safe to use in my home. Ridgefield Wax RS-101 is a great product that was enjoyable to use!!

This is a great wax - shavings are easy to measure out and melt quickly due to the small individual flakes. That alone isn't something extraordinary - most other waxes I purchase are also like this, though some flakes are larger and take longer to melt compared to the ridgefield wax, but the ridgefield wax comes packed in paper based packaging, which is much more durable than the plastic bags I usually get them in. It's resealable as well, so I can close it up easily after I scoop out what I need, and with the base it can stand up on its own without tilting.
