This is a nicely made ring stretcher. It allows you to custom fit your rings. It's nicely made. Comes with ring sizers and finger sizers. It's inexpensive. Easy to use. And totally practical to have.

This product has six main pieces:1. A plastic ring mandrel for sizes 1 through 8.5 (US standard) that is about 5" long. The intervals are half-sizes and the mandrel has a grooved area only in the very front, where the size is indicated, so if you wanted to use this mandrel to make wire rings on the go, it wouldn't be as easy as using other plastic mandrels that have grooves all the way around to keep your wire in place. However, the sizes are accurate and the numbers are engraved, not printed, on the plastic.2. A second plastic ring mandrel for sizes 9 through 16 that is about 5" long as well - same descriptions as above. Both mandrels are extremely light weight and perfect for packing into a bag for festivals.3. A set of plastic finger sizers, strung on a ball chain, that goes from 1 to 16 and includes half-sizes (identified by a dash - for example, 6 and 1/2 is stamped into the sizer as "6-"). The sizes are stamped into the stem of each sizer and are not colored (like the ring mandrels, which are colored white for visibility); therefore, I found it difficult to see the sizes. I ended up using a white marker from Home Depot to color into the engraved size area so I could see them better.4. Part One of the ring sizer, which is the base and is the flexible piece. It came in heavy plastic and needed to be wiped down immediately with a cloth because it was covered in grease. But it is heavy machined metal (steel?) and feels very sturdy.5. Part Two of the ring sizer, which is the insert that goes into the top of the flexible piece (#4 above). Again, it arrived greasy and needed wiping down immediately. It is also machined metal and also a good heavy quality piece. It fits into the base with ease and is appropriately snug.6. A nylon die piece that fits on the bottom of the metal base and is marketed as "suppressing the blow." It is as advertised, but I really don't see the need for it if you use a vise, as the directions instruct.I found the ring stretcher tool easy to use and intuitive. I annealed my silver ring size 7, placed it on the base (which does not have any size markings), inserted the #5 piece down into the base, and then used a rubber mallet to make about three strikes. My ring expanded to a size 7.5, which was my goal, so I was very happy with the tool. Works as advertised!Downside: I had to take the ring off the stretcher and drop it onto the mandrel after each strike to check if the sizing had increased. If the stretcher itself were marked with sizes, that would be ideal.All in all, the pricing of this set feels appropriate, if not a little low. The ring stretcher set was obviously machined and is high-quality, and even if the plastic pieces are not expensive, I would expect the machined metal parts to cost a little more. Great value for the money!

This ring stretcher and sizer set came in handy when I needed to resize a couple of rings at home. The instructions were straightforward, and I managed to get a better fit without a trip to the jeweler. It’s a useful tool to have around if you wear rings often.

Positives:-This item comes with a chain of plastic rings ranging from 1-16 so you can easily check your finger's ring size.-It also comes with a 2 pc. ring sizer (1-8 & 9-16)-Ring expander is made of a durable metal-Worth the money to keep you from having to take your ring to a jeweler to make your rings biggerNegatives:-Can only size up from a ring size 6 or larger (which is disappointing if you have smaller rings)-This item does not come with instructions! I had to look up a YouTube video to find out how to use this tool. (once you figure it out, it's easy to use though)Other:-Does not come with a mallet (which is also needed to use with this- however, I used a rubber band to wrap a sock around a hammer and that worked just fine)-You do not need to hit it very hard in order to expand your ring. Go slow and tap the top piece of the expander once or twice and then check the ring size again-Metal pieces are a little greasy so that they can slide together easily. Make sure to store them in a plastic zip bag after use so that it will continue to stay slidable on each other and work properly

This is a great said, and I like that I am able not only to determine sizes of rings that are needed, but also sizes of current rings as well as having the ability to be able to do the slide adjustment. The adjustment tool itself is well worth the cost of admission alone. It worked really well and I was able to stretch out a couple of rings that I have that needed. Just a little bit more space. I will say that I thought this was a very reasonably priced item and I would be happy to purchase more sets for the fellow jewelry lovers in my life who would benefit. Overall, this is a great product and it seems to be a great quality.

Ordered this because I was tired of always guessing ring sizes and wanted to make the guesswork easier. This set worked really well, all the rings were plastic and the sizing bars were both plastic as well. The only metal in the set were the two pieces used to expand or resize a ring that you have. (Which I have not tried to do yet.). The plastic really didn’t bother me and was easy to use. One thing to note was that the sizes are not printed on the rings, you basically have to try several on, find the one that fits comfortably without slipping off and then place it on the sizing bar to see what size it is. This works fine and seems to give accurate results. Durability should be fine as these really aren’t going to be put through harsh conditions. The ring resizing device that came with it hasn’t been tried yet so I will update once this has been tried but it looks fairly straightforward and simple. They just caution you to not over stretch your ring or use it on thin rings as you increase the chance of breaking the ring.
