Your cart is empty.Rite Farm Products Deluxe egg rollout wall mount nesting box. The plastic perch is hinged and lifts up to collect eggs from the front basket. Eggs roll to the front from the slight angle in the vented black plastic base. Made of impact-resistant polyethylene which is easy to clean and will not rust, rot, or corrode. The bottom basket is closed to prevent loss of bedding or eggs, but it features a hinged cover to allows easy access to eggs. The sloped roof prevents roosting. Hardware for wall mounting is included.

We bought these because as my new hens began to lay eggs, they also began to eat each others eggs. We mounted these at a slight angle and eggs now roll into the holder at the front. Chickens are unable to access the laid eggs!

They are easy to install. My buff orpingtons, cuckoo marans, & blue andalusians all lay their eggs in it & they roll forward safely out of sight. I have nothing in it & they don't seem to mind. My only issue is before I got the 2nd one up we lost the mounting hardware...going to have to figure out what to use - but that's not the makers fault...it's mine. I just wish you could get a set separately.

I added a solid wood back to try to sturdy this thing up, but it is very lightweight & flimsy. NONE of my full size birds will go in it. Works great on my smaller bantams, but not for full size chickens.Easy to clean & the plastic makes it super easy to sanitize.

My barred rocks and isa browns seem to love the nesting boxes. They don’t always let the eggs roll away as advertised but it’s enough that I’m not loosing eggs anymore. I added artificial grass to the inside of mine so they would be easier to clean and my chickens seem to prefer it with the grass, as I’ve noticed when the grass gets pushed into the egg storage area they change to the other box where the grass is still in position. The bottom can be removed fairly easy to clean them (better then just shaking off the grass inserts I added). However the little screws they provided can be difficult to remove so I went to the hardware store and got 4 screws and matching wing nuts to replace the plastic locking nuts that it comes with. I installed mine just by eying the level so the eggs not rolling away all the time may be my own fault for not taking 5 minutes to get a level and install them properly. I’m only giving this 4 stars because the screws that come with the boxes don’t alllow you to screw the screw in and slip the box on like one would expect based on how they drilled the 4 screw reliefs holes on the side. Last I just want to add that I would buy more if needed.
