I decided to get a professional auto electrician install the kit, as it was beyond my skill set. The job was done well except that the pilot/monitor light failed after only 3 times braking. The electrician then installed his own generic light And it is now working well. I really was not impressed by the cost of the kit, for what I received.

The only negative is that both ends of the cable that are supposed to connect one vehicle to the other have female plugs. I didn't catch it until the day we got ready to leave and had to cut the ends off and replace them with a male/female connector. Other than that it works exactly as promised. The only difficult thing with installation was running it from the front of the RV to the back. A little pricey but it does the job.

Great simple monitor kit, easy to install, works great. WAY overpriced for a little LED light and a little bit of wire.

We flat tow our Jeep commander and have the invisibrake system installed in it. We originally installed this little light thing in our original motorhome, and when we sold it we left it in there for the next owners not realizing how overpriced this little wire was. Long story short- the brake system won’t work without it and also for safety reasons you need it to see if your dinghy’s brakes are engaged or not. We had no choice but to buy it and reinstall which is a pain in the butt because you have to run it through the entire length of the RV, no matter what. Buying one of those cable runner tools is a life saver, get one. All said and done it works, we know our brakes are engaged, the system is happy, we’re happy, the open road is ours once again. Just annoyed at the price for a long wire with an LED attached at the end. That’s all.

A little pricey for a piece of wire,an led, and a buzzer. Kit installed by 81 year old. Good installation instructions.
