These serve the purpose they are designed to accomplished. Worked just fine on my old Radioshack Pro-2055 Scanner which uses this size screw.

worked great, I like it better than the screws that came with my cobra 29 CB radio. Anyone buying a cobra 29, don't get the 6mm screws they are too large. 5mm fits perfect.
