Included pocket-clip carrying case protects the thermometer when not in use but keeps it handy for easy access when you need it. Adjustable design ensures accuracy - simply twist the thermometer face to a known temperature to calibrate (32F ice water works well) while holding the 10 mm nut at the base of the dial with a wrench. Large, easy to read, black on white 1-3/4" dial face reads 0 to +220 degrees F. Had to adjust to get right temperature at freezing which was not difficult. Otherwise, about 4 degrees off.

Picture shows black numbers and marks on a white dial. The one I received is black on white except the area from 45 to 65 degrees, which is blue. My eyes cannot read the black numbers on a blue background. Returned for a refund.

Accurate gauge, required slight re-calibration my turning the stem in relation to the dial using the hex on the top of the stem. I calibrated it against an electronic thermocouple.Once calibrated it stayed accurate across the temperature range I tested it (40-70f).

Nice big dial for theses old eyes I've yet to verify the accuracy it seems to be okay but not what I thought it would be.
