Got it and installed it, broke within a week so spring no longer holds the lid up

The cover itself is cheap and flimsy. Lid wouldn't stay up and overall construction is not very encouraging.So i decided to return it. I had to pay for return shipping, $7 for a $15 item, and 2 weeks later i still haven't even seen my refund or gotten any messages from the seller. Stay away from this item and seller, there are more sturdy ones out there, I ended up buying the "Dual Electronics SG3" cover and am happy with it, well worth the extra few bucks!

I bought this to replace the old one on my boat (which may have been the same brand). On the old one, the springs which hold the lid up had long ago rusted out so the lid wouldn't stay open by itself. I mounted the new unit the opposite way so that the cover opens down (like an airplane tray). Way easier to see the radio now when I open it, plus it won't matter when the springs eventually fail.

I purchased this to mount a Pyle Bluetooth Marine Stereo Receiver in my boat. I already had quite a few stainless screws, so it didn't matter that the unit came without that. This worked well with the receiver and the seal is good when the cover is closed.That is about all I can ask for.
