This was not the one I needed so I returned it and got the corded version... one of the best boat upgrades I have added

The range you can use this away from the antenna location it’s very limited. I have a 40 foot boat and could not use it everywhere.It’s also subject to interference from our Sena SPH Bluetooth headsets that we use for crew communication. When we used those headsets, the VHF audio that we received over this device was garbled and unintelligible.I ended up selling this and installing a wired RAM 4 microphone at the helm. The improved quality of the sound (for both sending, and receiving) is very noticeable for the wired version, even when we were not using any other devices (such as the Sena headsets).
