I love this rack, I ordered it in October, and I damaged it in February. I have been trying to order parts since then and was just told the part will not be available until August. Great rack but don't order it you think you will ever need parts.

Super easy to assemble. All tools included. Once assembled, fitted to my car hitch. Easy to use, less than 30 seconds to lock in place. Very secure. Use included chain to lock your bike if you need to leave in unattended. The chain is very thick. I am very happy with this purchase.

Purchased the Rocky Mounts Guiderail from Rack Attack here in Canada. Arrived very quickly and had it assembled and on the vehicle in 15 minutes. Rack is very sturdy and it's easy to put bikes on it and secure them while steadying the bikes with one hand and securing them with another. I looked at 1UP and Kuat, which were much more expensive. The Guiderail actually offered more than those two, at least for me. For example the Guiderail has a built in latch handle, you have to order it for the 1UP at additional cost. The Guiderail also has a killer lock included that is sure to deter thieves, neither the 1UP or Kuat includes one. The Guiderail is rock steady on the highway, and bikes didn't move around much on a rocky dirt road. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from Rack Attack, or Rocky Mounts again.

This was the first, and probably last bike rack I will have to buy. It is solid and sturdy and made completely out of metal. I was super skeptical about dropping almost $1,000, but I mean if it protects and secures my $7,200 MTB to my car securely, then I guess it is worth it.

I love this mount. Expertly manufactured and designed, and looks beautiful. I don't keep it hooked up at all times so it being easy to mount an remove is important. It is heavy, but I can manage it easy enough by myself. The only thing I worry about is the plastic components wearing out over time, but so far it's been perfect.

This is a fantastic bike rack. It's so easy to load and unload the bikes. It even fits my Enduro mountain bike, which was the main reason I bought this rack. I had the Kuat Sherpa 2 and that was a good rack but the wheelbase of my bike was to long for it, and it didn't look secure. The only downside to the guiderail rack is it's a little heavy. I have to take it off after the weekend so I can use my trailer hitch to tow my trailers.

I had KUAT and was considering the most popular option for tray racks that only contact wheels. However, after looking an all the reviews I could find I decided to go with the GuideRail 2. The deciding fact for me was the ability to operation the arms with one hand and the security chain. You can open up the locking mechanism on the arms and move the arms with one hand while holding on to you bike with the other. Once you get the back on the rack move the arms against the tires lock them back into the ratchet function then push to tighten. It's really really easy. The lock that comes with it is at least a $150 value. Look up the price of beefy chain locks and you will see what I mean. But this one locks directly into the rack which is great. I had two bikes on the rack and the chain secured them both while we at lunch. The stadium portion of the two trays make it easy to fit two bikes and you can move them back or forth to avoid handle bar to seat contact. No need to lower or raise you seat post. It's also really sturdy does not move at all. Easy installation as well. It took me about 30 minutes but that is just because I was going slow to make sure nothing was missed. If you were in a hurry you could have it out the box and in the hitch in about 15 minutes. If you are going to get a tray rack that only contacts the tires, you will not be disappointed in this one. Seriously it is a great rack. I wish they had a one tray option but I guess with my cycling group and kids the two trays will and have come in handy. It's a great rack, couldn't be more pleased with the purchase.

At $850 this rack is pricey, but it is worth it.I recently bought a pricey full suspension mountain bike that would not fit on my old rack without possible damage. I researched several different hitch systems and took a chance on this one. This rack was recommended by the president of our local MTB club.It is incredibly easy to use and is very secure. It is sturdy metal and does not shake at all.Sometimes a product is so well designed that it makes you happy to use it.This is one of those.

I spent quite a bit of time researching racks to haul my bikes around that would be secure to deter bike thieves as well as rack thieves. My truck is often parked in public garages or streets and I wanted something that locked the rack (as best as possible) to the truck, while also providing a nice lock for the bikes themselves should I want to grab a bite while hauling bikes.I settled on this rack after some suggestions, and was skeptical of the price, but now that I've had it for a bit it's well worth it.I have a 3rd gen Taco 4x4 off road, and a big point of mine was to be able to use the tailgate with the rack mounted (loaded or unloaded with bikes whatever) This rack has just enough clearance to allow me access to whatever is in my truck and my topper with the tilt down feature. As far as security, the hitch bolt lock and the bike locks are substantial and I have faith they will stand up to all but the most determined thieves. The 3 way pivot hitch bolt system also makes for a super snug, not shaky fit into the hitch mount.Bikes themselves are very secure with the two arms and I have not noticed any issues even with bumpy Forest Service roads, highways, speed bumps etc. It's very stableThe only potential CON is the weight - the rack is heavy (all metal, no plastic) and the chain for the bike lock is. Two small things in the grand scheme. I'd rather have a beefy heavy chain lock that a small light cable lock.Either way, super happy with this, well worth the money and does everything I need and more.
