This is not an easy to use printer. Does not work with an iPad. Still not able to get it to work after days of trying to learn.YouTube user videos are poorly done.

This compact Rongta thermal printer has transformed my small business shipping process. After struggling with ink smudges and paper jams from my standard printer, switching to thermal labels has been a revelation. The printer is lightweight yet feels solidly built, and the clean white design looks professional on my desk.Setup was a mixed experience - I initially had some issues getting it to work properly with Windows 11 despite following the included instructions. After trying different USB ports and compatibility settings without success, I switched to using the iOS app instead. The difference was night and day - the app connected instantly to the printer and has worked flawlessly ever since.Print quality is impressively sharp and dark, making barcodes scan perfectly every time. I've run about 200 labels through it so far with zero paper jams or misprints. The ability to print directly from my phone while packing orders has streamlined my workflow significantly. The thermal technology means never buying ink cartridges again, which is already saving me money. The power cord is a decent length, letting me position the printer where I need it on my shipping station without requiring an extension cord.If you're running a small e-commerce business, this printer will pay for itself quickly in time saved and hassle avoided. Just be prepared to use the mobile app if you encounter Windows compatibility issues.

I got this printer exclusively for making 4" by 6" shipping labels, whether UPS or USPS. Home use, only, and for just a few packages per month. I was amazed at the price because I had always assumed a few hundred dollars would be the minimum investment. This printer sat for a few weeks before I set it up and used it the first time. Although I have not tried most of its features, it has impressed me on every level that I did use.It can work on Linux, Windows or Mac computers and either USB or Bluetooth connections. A wide variety of labels can be done, but as I mentioned earlier, only 4" by 6" are useful for me and on my Windows computers (one desktop and one laptop). The resolution is only 200dpi, but it looks good enough to easily serve its purposes. Of course, my laser printer has higher resolution and crisper legibility, but for all practical purposes, it's more than good enough. This company has done a marvelous job of documentation. No hyperbole involved at all here. Its efforts are nearly unparalleled-- you can download several specific instructions and even videos from a card with QR codes; a 500 MB USB stick is included with driver installation files; the user manual is of high quality with clear, colorful photographs and darker than usual text (and not one of those tiny, faint fonts).Convenience is also fostered by Rongta. They provide an USB-A to USB-C adapter. They provide a fanfolded stack of 100 labels. They provide a nearly five-foot USB cable-- they don't just tell you to use Bluetooth and get an optional USB cable. Three pages of tips and troubleshooting are covered in the user's manual-- they didn't just wave their hands at it, but dug into it. Yes, I was impressed. Installation was quick and simple. The printer is quiet, the printing is fast, the adhesive on the labels is good. The experience is exesnatmplary. Instead of laser printing a label, cutting it to size and taping it down on the box, all I have to do now is print it, tear it off the cutter with a flip of the wrist, peel off the backing and slap it onto the box. Done! Worth every penny. Professional in make, documentation and operation. An experience that makes you feel that you have an expert sitting behind you, ready.Highly recommended.Be well.Be safe.

I had been using 8.5 x 11 paper to print shipping labels, cutting off the extra paper, then taping them to the shipping box. I saw this printer and thought it would be a great timesaver. This printer is well packaged and comes with everything needed to get it up and running including approximately 100 4x6 labels. There are two ways to connect to this printer, by computer or cell phone. (Both Android and iPhone are supported.)I have an Android phone and the app in the Play Store is RT Elabel, not RTELabel as stated on the product page. In the app you have the choice of printing a pdf label, creating your own label, printing an image, or scanning a barcode to print a label. I had no problems connecting to the printer and printing a label. I also printed a picture and the printout is ok but not great. See last photo. To use my laptop I loaded the drivers from the included USB drive. To connect to the printer the included USB to printer port cable is required. That's the main drawback to using this printer. You can connect via Bluetooth with your phone, but a Bluetooth connection through a computer does not work. This is stated on the product page so it wasn't a surprise, but it is disappointing. The only other issue I found using the laptop was that the top of the labels were cutoff. In the third picture the label on the left was printed with the default settings. After some trial and error setting the vertical offset to 0.1mm fixed the problem as shown on the label on the right. For the price this is a nice label printer. Four stars because Bluetooth with a PC is not supported. Maybe there will be a software update to add this?
