Lock the drum blade by inserting the handle until hearing a "click" sound.

Nifty counter-top grater. Assembles easily. Comes apart for easy cleaning. Grates easily and very quickly. Could be a few dollars less...but, honestly, it'll grate more cheese in a minute than any other grater.

I never really thought about a cheese grater, but when I saw this one, I was kind of fascinated so I decided to give it a try. I have to admit it is really designed well. It's easy to assemble, easy to use and clean, and once you've used it, you can easily disassemble it for storage.It also saves money in the long run. Most stores offer 1 lb chunk cheese at a cheaper price than shredded cheese. Where I shop I can buy chunk cheese almost 50 cents cheaper per pound than most shredded, so it does save money.I also like the thin, curly shredded cheese from this shredder better than the way the store bought cheese comes. To me it seems that it melts better.I haven't used the other rotary attachments yet, but I can see how the fine drum could be used to grate chunk Parmesan or Romano cheese just like the specialty Italian food stores do.All in all it's a handy little kitchen tool.

The suction cup really sucks, in a good way. The grater bit works pretty darned well too! Seriously, stuck it on my glass top range and the suction cup held tight as a drum for over a week. The only reason it released was because I needed the burner I stuck it on was needed for cooking.

I am so glad I bought this thing. This cuts down on time BIG time. It has a switch to suction the grater to the counter making it easy to use. It took 2 minutes to grate my cheese rather than 30 to 40 by hand. I also used it to grate fresh nutmeg and it was super easy. It was extremely easy to use and clean. The only thing I would say is that if you have a more waxy cheese it sometimes clogs it up because it sticks together but it is easy to unclog.
