I was excited to find these as I have three of the old scout sets for my kids and my wife and I wanted to buy one set for myself.These are pure garbage and a very poor imitation of the original.They arrived bent. The steel is so thin and soft I easily bent them back. The spoon is even thinner metal than the fork and knife so it bends incredibly easy.The knife is a joke. The serrated edge is more blunt than my butter knives at home. It has a cut out for a bottle opener but the metal is so weak I doubt you'll be able to open many bottles before you deform the knife.The rivets that are supposed to hold the three pieces together are too long so there is nothing holding the cutlery together.A set of plastic disposable cutlery would be more durable. I attached pictures of the cutlery set I purchased compared to the old scout set.

love this item it's nice to have around when camping i had a few when i was younger lost them when i moved so i looked on amazon and got this set used it and works well

These are lightweight but strong. I regularly eat at a place where plastic utensils are supplied. I've decided to take my own, and these are ideal because they snap together, so I can just grab a set easily and put it in my lunch box.

this will my camp stove, a mess kit, a backpack pup tent, ax, shovel, food stores fuel for lantern, candles for lantern matches, sleeping bag, ground clothe, tarp as a rainfly, tent stakes.

If you are looking for stainless steel silverware that will last, THIS IS NOT IT. The knife is stamped stainless steel, but the fork and spoon are not. After one weekend of camping the forks and spoons all were rusty, not just at the attachment point but on the tines and bowl of the spoons. The knife may actually be SS or possibly a slightly different mix that doesn't rust as easily, it is a slightly different color metal and after one weekend was not rusty. This product is falsly claiming that it is Stainless steel, leaving the consumer to assume that all of it is when in fact perhaps only a small portion is if that. Go run your toung over the lid of a tin can and see if you like that taste with every bite you eat from the spoons and forks.

For the price I honestly expeceted something flimsier and cheaper. But its actually not bad at all the it does what it supposed to do and packs into itself. Plastic would be lighter, but I have yet to find a good plastic version of this set. Id recommend it.

The fork bends easily and the knife is not very good. I would recomend it as a back-up.
