Was impressed with the quality and sturdiness of this ligature.I've had experience in the past with this brand, but not this particular product.I look forward to using this ligature quite a bit.

I was very happy to find that the ligature came with a mouthpiece cover. I bought another brand recently and I assumed it also came with a cover and was disappointed. I have several Rovner ligatures and covers.

I bought this for my new Bass clarinet. It does a great job holding the reed in place. The ligature is worth the investment.

Purchased as a donation to my daughters high school band. Fits the bass clarinet perfectly.

i got this because my register key notes weren't playing right as they used to and my metal ligature was broken and when i played with this ligature the sound was much deeper, fuller and rounder. i could play louder with this ligature and although my register key notes are still squeaking, I'm still happy that my sound has improved so much with this ligature. I am getting a new mouthpiece and I hope that will fix my problem. I definitely recommend getting this ligature because of its usefulness and cheap price.

I had an experience similar to another reviewer. The ligature received was far to small for a bass clarinet mouthpiece, although in this case it was in a correctly labelled box. I tried it on my regular Bb clarinet, and it was awfully tight on that too, so I'm not sure what instrument it was actually made for!Worse, I had to reverse the tightening knob (knurled end inwards) to make the thread grip properly: the thread seemed partially stripped at the beginning end. By the way, the fittings were brass; not nickel. The box was neither sealed nor shrink wrapped: I have a suspicion I was not the first person to be sent this particular ligature.I returned it.

I have really been fine-tuning my Bass Clarinet setup trying a variety of mouthpieces, ligatures and reeds. Interestingly to me is the fact that I really like this one THE BEST. I started out trying Bass variations of my favorite Bb and Eb soprano clarinets, but they just didn't hit the mark. I think it is because of the flexibility of the ligature material - allows more even distribution of pressure, as opposed to those composed of either metal or stiff leather.I very highly recommend!

I'm not entirely convinced that a ligature makes that much difference to the sound of an instrument, but this one is:-light-easy to fit & adjust-secure - it holds the reed firmly in place, and-cheap.Just what I wanted. And if you are interested in the sound, my bass certainly doesn't sound any worse than it did before my old metal one broke. It may even be better, but I can't tell.

Rovner ligatures offer better reed clamping than the traditional metal band type, they are quick and easy to set up and adjust, they are very adjustable for clamping angle and grip and come with a mouthpiece cap. Each time we have purchased a Rovner my son's playing on that instrument has improved. Finally got round to getting him a bass ligature, and as expected, it is performing faultlessly.
