Love how light weight this bike is! Easy for our 2.5 year old to get on and practice without being too cumbersome.

I got this late one night, and did not realize that it was a balance bike...so I was a little shocked when I got it and it did not have petals or anything. The box was very damaged and I was concerned that the bike would be damaged or be missing some parts, but everything was accounted for and there was no damage to the actual item itself. My daughter scooted around on it for several days, but ultimately lost interest in it because it's aimed at smaller children. I will say that I was impressed with the quality and the ease of putting it together.

We're enjoying this little balance-bike. Our kindergartener was still in training wheels so we're taking a new track of using a balance bike instead. This is exciting and she's already loving it.Especially, we appreciate the stoppers at the end of each handlebar so as to protect both the handlebar and grips as well as whatever the bike might fall onto. She's beginning to coast well on this bike, though! We do wish the wheels were not plastic which is a bit slippery and just odd. However the bicycle is well-made otherwise.Good footrest position. Adjustable (nicely padded) seat and handlebars.Easy to assemble. Took a little over an hour uninterrupted (which is rare!).I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases. Since I rely on reviews, too, I appreciate how helpful they can be in my purchasing decisions. Hope my review has helped you.

This was a prefect way to teach my 4 year old how to balance on a bike without having to worry about him getting tangled up in the gears or petals. It looked a bit small for him at first, but the seat and handle bars adjust. It rides very smoothly, is very light weight and is easy to maneuver. I like the solid foam tires. No need to worry about flat tires. He rode the bike around all summer on our paved driveway, and there are very little signs of wear on the tires.

Update Feb 2024With snow on the ground this little guy isn't striding with his bike yet but he pushes it everywhere, and weather permitting can keep him occupied for a very long time. Another daughter-in-law aid that their son pushed his like that for several months before getting up on it to stride, so I'm not worried at all. It is fun and that was the main point anyhow.******************My 3 year old grandson is really enjoying this 12" glide balance bike from Royalbaby. I got the RanRule aluminum frame model as it was much lighter than a steel frame and it is very nicely finished in white paint. That little guy is really enjoying this new bike. His excitement easily gets him going faster than I like to see at the moment but he is learning. My only disappointment is that there isn't any hand brake on this model. I believe one is needed for safety now, as well as to help young minds learn how to use it before they advance to a faster paced pedal bike. Another of our 'grandson' families with three bike riding boys ( the fourth isn't yet old enough) have learned to stride and ride a similar bike but that model has a hand brake. Not sure it gets used much but it is there for learning and use if necessary. That is a better option than without a brake where the only option for slowing down is to drag their feet or just tip over. Neither of those are very safe nor good.At this point I would appreciate just being able to get the brake as an "add on option" but there doesn't appear to be any option for that.Since they just got 18 inches of snow this past week I expect outside riding will be curtailed for a few months since it will probably be at least a couple of months before the snow is gone it has warmed back up enough for any outside riding. Time now for sledding on their long snowy 30 foot dropping driveway. You know, the one I should have considered more when I got this brakeless stride bike. This bike was pretty simple for us to put together. Even the grandson helped because he loves to be in the thick of it and working with anything that goes together, usually because he wants to take it back apart. Just be sure to tighten the seat securely. It's very smooth and easy ride and "stroll" with. Very easy to learn with and 'balance with'. No training wheels in this setup because they simply deter kids from learning how to balance, ant that is really the first key to riding. He's riding up and down the hallway. His sister is tracking him on her new in-line skates and it's quite a racket but they're happy!

This is my second Royalbaby bike to assemble and this one was just as easy as the larger bike (18” wheel) to put together. It’s mostly intuitive – don’t get overwhelmed by all the parts – just lay the parts out to get an overview – and assembly will follow quickly.Huge Hint: save yourself a lot of time and anxiety and ignore the written Instructions. Do a search (“Royalbaby bike assemble”) on YT – they have several videos on how to put this thing together. After watching the videos it’ll be a cinch (allow 40 minutes). This bike is made of a quality aluminum alloy (to make it light) and is as sturdy as a tank. All the included parts, including the screws, handlebar, and seat are also top quality. The seat and the handlebar are adjustable so the child who owns this bike can grow and still adjust the bike as time (and riding ability) progresses. Kids will pass this bike on to younger siblings.I ordered this much smaller “toddler” bike because we have been so pleased with the larger Royalbaby which impressed us with its solid frame and quality parts. I realize that some may never heard of Royalbaby bikes but, trust me, they are great bikes (sold throughout the world) at a reasonable price.Pros:-- Quality aluminum construction.-- Handlebar & seat adjustable.-- Rubber grips on the handlebar make it easier for kid to hang on.-- The company has a history of making great bikes.-- Lightweight.-- The bike is well-balanced.-- A low center of gravity means kid is less likely to fall & hurt themself.Cons: None so far. We love this little bike.
