Good product just in the winter time just use a little WD-40 just to make sure there's no salt debris get stuck in there other than that works amazing keeps the Jeep Hood locked . Very simple install

Super easy to install… you will need to remove the 6 plastic grill pop pins and inserts first. Then remove the weather stripping (same process as the plastic pins). Next, remove the 2 angle brackets. Fit the lock where the brackets were and then replace the brackets. Make sure the lock lines up with a hole in the grill…. Now insert the key and turn it hard left. Lower the hood and then turn the key hard right. This will ensure that the locking arm is sitting on the hood latch. If installed correctly, you will not be able to mess with the hood latch.I encourage you to practice unlocking and locking BEFORE you reinstall your weatherstripping and grill. LEFT is to unlock and RIGHT is to lock.There is no instructions inside the little box!

Overall, it’s a solid product, but the installation process was a shot in the dark. The directions were pretty bad, which made the setup more frustrating than it should have been. Despite this, once installed, it serves its purpose well and adds valuable security. I think with better instructions, this could easily save a lot of frustration.

Really had a hard time trying to install this on a 2019 jeep wrangler unlimited. The instructions were not that clear and could be a whole lot better. Once installed the lock grabs onto the hood but is still able to be propped open just a bit which should still be enough to stop someone from messing with it even more.
