This large-capacity, waterproof bike bag has outstanding design features and quality construction. The hard-shell design and molded side/top panels provide the protection and durability you need when you’re on the move (especially if you accidentally take a tumble). Here are a few features I really like:• Sealing zippers to keep moisture and dirt out• A red safety tail-light• The main section is roomy and lined with black nylon. You can open a second zipper that expands it an additional 3” in height• Hard-shell side sections with reflective stripes. The panel drops down to create a zip-open saddle bag for extra gear.• Bottle pocket with cinch cord. A plastic water bottle is included!• Velcro straps on the bottom and back to secure the bag to the frame.• Top hand-grip straps and cinch cord• A detachable strap with shoulder pad clips to d-loops on the front and back. The strap is adjustable up to 52” long.• A yellow protective cover to slip over the bag in rainy weather. This is one of the nicest and most useful bike bags I’ve seen. It deserves a five-star rating for quality of materials, great organizational/safety features, and a roomy, expandable design.

I have the canvas fabric version of this bike bag by Revere, which I am extremely impressed by. I use that for the vacation bike. My home bike has the carbon fiber look going on it and wanted one of these to match. When I saw that this came with a carbon fiber exterior, I couldn't resist. This review is essentially the same since they're virtually identical except for the exterior finish. This has a huge capacity, especially when deploying both side panniers. I really like how these can be folded up and stored into zipped compartments so the bag has a nice, compact look. The center main compartment can be expanded for oversized objects. And the extra bottle holder on the back is greatly appreciated as I used up all my braze ons and could only carry one bottle. The rear safety light is a thoughtful inclusion for safety, on top of the reflective stripes on the sides. All the zippers feel very sturdy and operate smoothly without snagging. The overall construction, materials, and stitching are solid. It has a big and comfy handle and a mesh pocket on top with a tiedown (maybe to secure a portable umbrella or bike pump). And to make it even more usable, they included a pretty nicely padded shoulder strap. I may ride to the shop now for small grocery trips. And there's more! A waterproof cover and a decent water bottle are also added to the package.I thought the price was a little high, but once I was able to check it out in person I can tell that this is a good value for the quality, materials, construction, add-ons, and features. Definitely a keeper and worth having for long bike trips.

I built a fully custom 12v headlight / tail light system for my bike, and the last bag I tried had the unfortunate tendency to hang over the back of my rack and obscure my tail light. When I saw this, I jumped at the chance to try it out, hoping maybe this wouldn't hang over the light. I was overjoyed to find that, not only did it not obstruct the visibility of my tail light, but that it also had its own built in light. Sweet! It comes with a rain cover, which is really nice, but I suspect the rubber-sealed zippers will keep out all but the most torrential downpour. Those are a nice feature, as it's nice to have the confidence that If I'm in a light sprinkle, by phone or key fob or anything else in the bag won't get soaked. The tail light is a nice feature, but it's not super-bright. Perhaps I'm just spoiled with my custom lighting system. The fact is, at night ANYTHING is better than nothing, and while it's not super-bright, it does provide an additional layer of protection. For me, having my own setup already, it becomes a convenient backup light in case of a failure of my primary lighting system (which is highly unlikely as I built it myself, but you never know, right?).The panniers are a nice feature, and the hard shell design of this ensures the panniers won't get tangled in the back wheel. It's not the largest pannier I've ever used on a bike, so I wouldn't call this a "cross country bike excursion" bag, it's a little on the small size for that. Unless, of course, you pack light or pull a trailer. But for commuting,If I had to make improvements to it, I might make the panniers a BIT larger (there's still a lot of usable space), and what I'd REALLY do is replace the tail light they have with something more...potent. I would much rather have something ran off 1 or 2 AA batteries, or a 16850 or something, with a battery holder in the bag, than the small light they have now running of coin cells. It's certainly better than nothing, and if you right at night it might save your life as it is now. But it could be so much brighter. My complaints about this bag are minor in number and severity. The final verdict, is it's a very well put together rack bag that fits beautifully on my bike and doesn't obscure my tail light. Which is literally everything I wanted. It literally is my new favorite rack bag, and give it 5 stars.
