These warmers work really great. I actually got these to keep my water cisterns from freezing during the cold winter months. Have my cisterns in my un-insulated barn so I have ample water for watering my animals without having to string hoses around in the winter months. I simply stuck these warmers to the front near where my spigot is and they work great. Being they work this well for my application, I have no doubt in their efficacy in doing the job they were intended on RV water tanks. They don't get very hot, just warm enough to stay above freezing and don't consume much electricity at all and the price is really good. The have a self adhesive on the back and as long as you are sticking them to a clean surface, they stay where you put them. I highly recommend.

I recently received these RV tank heaters, and I was eager to try them out. Even inside my house, which is around 70 degrees, I could feel them start to warm up, which was a good sign. They didn't get overly hot, which is reassuring, and they come with a really long cord for each heater, which is super convenient since you get two in the pack. They seem like they'll definitely do the job for my needs.Honestly, they feel a bit like foil bubble wrap with the heating element attached, so I'm not sure how long they'll hold up in the long run. They feel a little flimsy, to be honest. But, for the price, I think they'll be fine for occasional use. Just don't expect them to be a long-term, heavy-duty solution. If you need something for a season or two, or for light use, these should be perfect.

These heater pads came neatly packaged and double-boxed. They measure 12" x 18" and are extremely thin and light weight. Time will tell if this is a good, or bad feature. Simply plug the attached cords into your electrical source and the heat is on. One very concerning aspect of these heater pads is the maker's comments about when the product will turn on and turn off: "A preset operating temperature range of -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C). When the outside temperature drops to -4°F (about -20°C), the heating pad will automatically activate and begin to provide continuous warmth protection for the water tank; when the temperature rises back to 140°F (about 60°C), the system will automatically shut down and stop heating." SAY WHAT? If this heater is left outside for days in 18-degree temperature, it will not come on because it isn't 4 below zero? REALLY??? And if it is running when it's 90-degrees outside, it will continue to run until it's 140-degrees outside (= forever). Again... REALLY??? Hopefully, this is a series of typos the manufacturer will correct, but in the interim I'll be waiting for a -4degree (or lower) day/night to test these out. Bluntly speaking, this product scares me... hence the 3-star review rating.

This is designed to go under water tanks in the winter but my RV has an insulation package that prevents me from accessing the bottom of the tanks. I use the RV in the winter for a few days each month so I needed something to keep water jugs and liquid food items from exploding when they freeze. It gets below zero often. So I am putting these in tubs and setting jugs on top to keep it from freezing. I hope it works

I got these to keep a couple of 25-gallon potable water tanks in my garage from freezing. They arrived double-boxed and well packaged, but that's about the end of the great stuff. The adhesive used to secure the pad to the tank is pretty sticky, which is good, so be careful when you expose it because it's pretty easy to get it stuck to anything nearby and crinkle the pad or tear it getting it unstuck. Once I got these secured to the tanks, I plugged them in to an AC power meter connected to the mains so I could get an idea of the power consumption and verify the function of the thermostat. They heat up gradually but do get warm. Initially, they used about 120W each until they got to 96F when it tapered down to about 60W each. I will say that they did keep the tanks from freezing in ambient temps around 12F. Here's my problem: These pads are not UL listed, the instructions prohibit certain uses that are explicitly approved in the product listing here on Amazon, and the construction feels pretty cheap. The instructions are terrible and full of diction and grammatical errors typical of English translations from Chinese. I would have reservations about using these in an RV but they may work safely on a concrete garage floor, far from flammable objects. I'm not going to use these for anything that isn't under direct observation.
