needed a type 2 charger for a new car and this one is perfect. The cable length is long enough to reach across the car from the wall outlet. The cable, charger and plug appear to be robust.

Works like a charm. Plugged it into my NEMA 10-30 wall outlet above my dryer and it charged my Honda prologue without any issues. It's a solid buy for anyone looking for an affordable J1772 Level 2 charger for their home. The bag that it comes with is fine and the charger looks well built.

Misrepresented by the picture, the description, and the top review. The screen on the product is different than what’s in the Amazon picture. The listing description & label on the box say it’s 32A and model HSM-A-A130-5, but what arrived charges only at 9.6A so is presumably the HSM-A-A110-5 model, but nothing on the device itself indicates the model or max Current (amps). The manuals for these (that you can find as a PDF online) clarify that the Amp or Current level is set by the model and is in no way adjustable, unlike the very misleading top review.

I used it today for the first time and I used it on 24 amps and it was charging 5.8KWH which is amazing! It’ll charge my bolt over night. Comes with a cool case that hangs perfectly in my garage and the connector even has a cover. Overall it is worth the money! Also go my here in 2 days!!!

I've only used it twice but both times it worked well. I chose this charger because it is one of the few that allows you to select the appropriate amperage. Before installing it I swapped out my old worn Nema 10-30r outlet with a new 10-30r Hubbell just to be safe. When you plug it in (prior to connecting it to you car, the display prompts you for the amperage. You press the single button that allows you to select the proper amperage 16/24/32 (24 amps works well for 30 amp outlet -- 32amps would likely overload my Nema 10-30 circuit so it probably should not even be an option in this unit). I plugged it into my my Kia EV6 and a few seconds later it was successfully charging. It averages 5.4 to 5.5 kwh at 23.3 volts and took about 8.5 Hours to charge from 35% to 90%. When charging, it is warm to the touch but not overly so. Quality seems pretty good.Cons: the screen display is slightly different from the screenshots on Amazon (no temperature reading unlike what is shown on Amazon). The cord is relatively short at 16 feet -- 20 would be much better. The carrying bag is a bit flimsy and cheap looking. The instructions are all but useless but it is pretty simple to learn how to use.Performance so far is good. Price is very good. Perhaps I will update this review in few months.Update as of 11/9/2024:The charger continues to work without issue. One thing to note, I leave the charger plugged in my Nema 10-30 outlet at all times as I have been told that frequent plugging and unplugging can cause the outlet to fail and overheat. After a recent short power outage, the charger defaulted to 32 Amps instead of my usual 24 Amps. I forgot to check the amperage setting and plugged the charger into my Kia EV6. About an hour later I checked on the status on my Kia connect app and saw that it was charging at 7.4 Kwh which is much higher than my normal 5.4 Kwh at 24 Amps. I realized then that the power outage likely reset the Charger to 32 Amp by default. Instead of stopping the charging session and reducing it down to 24 Amps, I monitored it closely for excess heat and it completed charging roughly 5 hours later without issue averaging roughly 31.24 Amps. In the future, I will revert back to charging at 24 Amps just be safe but it is good to know that in a pinch, I can charge at 32 Amps without issue.

A newly purchased car does not come with a car charger, and sometimes emergency charging is inconvenient, so you need this car charger, which has complete safety protection functions to protect the safety of electric vehicles. Charging speed is also good. I've used it twice so far and overall I'm happy with it.

Great price for a level two EV charger. The charger uses a NEMA 10-30 plug for power. The charger is good for indoor or outdoor use and has a 16 foot charging cable. Provides 90 to 260 volts.
