It's good drywall tape for seams and such.Note: It's NOT supposed to stick to surfaces on its own. Your roll of tape is NOT defective if it doesn't feel sticky to the touch. The tape will go on top of some mud and under some more.DIY beginner or refresher tip: If you're DIYing and just gonna go for it, get your YouTube on for a run through before buying anything to make sure you've got the right set of materials for your particular issue/project. One of many great YT channels with plenty of resources on drywall mudding and taping is Vancouver Carpenter. The videos are of careful work and are well explained examples.Happy mudding!

Great stuff. Slightly thinner allowing two skims instead of 3 ( dec will know what I'm talking about). Seems dear but there is a lot on the roll and it is thinner. Great for those persistent move to cracks.

This lightweight tape is excellent for adding strength to depron rc models. The technique involves placing the tape on the depron to be strengthned - it is mildly sefl-adhesive - then covering the tape with a thin coat of foam-safe contact adhesive like UHU Por. After drying, a dusting of talcum powder over the tape cures any tackiness from the contact adhesive.

I bought this to close a series of 7/8" holes that I had running horizontally in a wall. The holes were too big to patch with spackle or patching compound on their own, and rather than trying to patch it slowly over a couple of sessions, this tape went right over the holes and gave the patching compound a base to sit on and close the holes. Its thin enough that the patching compound was able to cover the holes and hide the tape without leaving obvious raised patch sections. Looks really clean when all is done.
