I loved the look of the salt cellar and was especially pleased that it was supposed to have an air tight rubber seal. The lid on the first salt cellar I received did not have a seal. I returned that cellar to Amazon and ordered another. It arrived today and this salt cellar does not have a seal either. If it had a seal I would say it's a five star product--without the seal, in our humid climate, it's no good. I tried to get in touch with the seller via the email on the provided card and that didn't work--the email address was failed. Trying to find the seller on ebay didn't work either. Without the seal I'll have to return this cellar as well.The seller responded to an Amazon message and supplied 2 gaskets. The gaskets fit perfectly and I've changed the review from 1 star to 5 stars. I appreciate the seller following up on the request for a gasket.

Nice looking and well made. 1st order came with the silicone seal missing from the lid. So i returned for a replacement. 2nd one came with the same issue. Without the seal the lid is not airtight as advertised which matters to me in my area. Disappointed because I love the design. I did email the company and received no reply.

I keep sea salt in salt cellar. I live in a salt marsh, in an old house with no humidity control. Whatever is outside is inside within 12 hours. Summer up to 100% humidity and winter down to 10%. An open salt shaker is wet and clogged all summer. This salt cellar has kept my salt at its optimal texture since I got it. I look forward to similar results in the winter.
