this product is a quite dedicated UDMA7 card and does not work well as a bootable hard disk replacement. does great as a removable disk.

I tried using this card for couple shoots (Prom pictures and others) it worked fine. I felt confident about the card so decided to use this during my trip to India. I could look at the pictures on the camera every night after the shoot. I was pleased with pictures and knew what I had in storage. Once I returned from the trip neither my camera nor my laptop or the card reader would read the card. I just felt cheated. When I chatted with Sandisk support guy online he just kept reminding me there is no warranty on the pictures and I can go to the companies (by paying out of my pocket to salvage the pictures if they are important to me) They can replace the card for me. This is a big risk I presume if there is someone professional taking pictures and has to deal with it. For me I know the parts of India I traveled I would never go back again so I am using a company to get my pictures (hopefully) restored. Wish me luck!

These cards are so reliable they are boring, and that is exactly the way I like my memory cards. I don't need excitement or drama from flash memory when I'm working and these cards always oblige. They do exactly what they are supposed to do, and do it quickly every time. They handle large RAW shooting sessions HD video from my Canon 5D MKIII and 1DX without a single pause. I stake my livelihood on these memory cards and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Performed super fast, just like it should. No issues at all. Did have to upgrade card reader to be able to read it at all. The newer reader I had wouldn't read it at all, an old one I had would, just very slowly. Combined with a new USB 3.0 card reader, this made for the fastest batch image transfer I've seen.

I own almost 7 such cards. I have been using these cards since long. If you are a sports shooter, wild life shooter or event & concert photographer you need such card. The reason is that most of the time you use,1. High resolution DSLR cameras for such functions (almost over 18 & 21 Megapixels)2. For such functions you need to have good burst rate (High Frame Per Second shooting speed) of your DSLR camera I.E.: 8 FPS or in fact at least 10 FPS for international event.3. In sports, event & wild life shoot most of the time situation, lighting & scope of shooting is not very favourable. The images are cropped, edited and corrected extensively in such shooting assignments.4. Professionals shoot RAW 14-16 Bit depending upon compatibility of their camera's RAW program and this makes file sizes really bigger.5. In this situation, the camera could be capable to shoot 8 FPS but the Memory card could not be capable of writing the captured data onto the card.6. This situation leads to chocking of buffer and the camera stops shooting (you need to wait a while before the massive data is written onto the card) though it has high speed shooting compatibility and you lose those obviously interesting shots.7. The most effective way to solve this dilemma is to use faster memory cards on your DLSR which has faster shooting speed (FPS).8. Upto 120 MB/Sec. is a truly good writing speed and you will be able to use maximum burst capacity of your DSLR without chocking its buffer.9. Sandisk has 160 Mb / sec compatible cards also and they give speed of almost 1000x but they are not available easily or not launched in India.10. Lexar Media has good 1000X compatible cards and they are available on amazon.com and are very cost effective too.The best thing is that this professional grade Sandisk Card comes with RESCUE PRO SOFTWARE APPLICATION with one year free subscription and in case the card is corrupted or wrongly formatted, you have bright chances of recovering that data with help of RESCUE PRO.So, irrespective of your shooting need, you must go for a reliable and high speed compatible CF cards only because if not today but in future you may be shooting 8-10 FPS.

The best feature of this memory card is probably that I don't really have anything to say about it. I rotate between three 32GB cards: this one, an older SanDisk Extreme (the black one that was 60MB/s) and the older Extreme Pro (90 MB/s). I think it's important to note that all the listed speeds are read speeds- important for getting data off the card and onto your mass storage device, but not that relevant to actual shooting. The write speeds are the hidden spec that is actually more important to me, and that's where I expected this card to play second fiddle to the Extreme Pro- the latter card is 90MB/s write as well as read, where this Extreme card is 120MB/s read, but only 60MB/s write speed. However, I've yet to notice any difference in buffer clearing or max burst between this and my Extreme Pro. Now, I've not done any measured scientific tests, and the 7Ds I'm using are certainly a few years old. So I may come back and update this review once I have a 7D mk2, if the higher throughput makes more of a difference apparent. But, in the meantime, I'd say these Extreme cards are more than fast enough, and that at least for shooting primarily cross country, I'd save my money and choose this over the Extreme Pro.

Needed a fast, reliable card for event photography. I tested this card using multiple stress test cycles prior to use with no issues, and it performed flawlessly. Only challenge, and I suspect this is my reader switching to USB HS - not the card, is sometimes I get 30MB/s downloading to my computer.

I ordered one of these cards in preparation for a long trip. When I got the card I put it in my camera and took several photos and everything seemed fine as I reviewed them. The next day when I went to look at the images, I discovered they had disappeared. Thankfully they were not very important, so I formatted the card and shot a bunch more images to try and replicate the problem but everything seemed fine. A few days later after shooting several hundred more images, I noticed that several photos were showing as corrupted and I was unable to download them. Thankfully I was able to use a file retrieval program to retrieve the corrupted files. After contacting the seller, I arranged to get a replacement. When the new card arrived, I tried everything I could imagine, shooting almost 2000 images, swapping out to other cards, turning the camera (Canon 7D) on and off and pulling the battery, but the card seemed to be fine, so I headed out on my trip. About 600 photos into the trip, I noticed more corrupted images. Thankfully I had a few older SanDisk cards that I managed to get by on for the rest of the trip. When I returned, I contacted Sandisk and they led me through some techniques to try to solve the problem, but a few weeks later more files were corrupted, so I returned the card and got a replacement. It seems that the third time was the charm as I haven't had any corrupt files since then.I have been a long-time SanDisk customer and am glad they replaced my faulty cards, but I am disappointed that I had to go through two bad cards in a row before finally getting a card that works. For an Extreme product, I expect much better quality control than this.
