In a very slim field, this is an excellent desk top radio. Very good sound, easy set up and use. And relatively compact.

I've owned this product for two years now. It has had a whole bunch of issues. The time goes out and the alarm sometimes does not go off for no reason. This radio is buggy. I won't be purchasing a Sangean product again.Do not buy. I have read a bunch of similar reviews and the manufacturer only gives a one year warranty. Low quality manufacturing for an expensive product. Buggy and is very unreliable.

After buying a high end am/fm clock radio from a competitor I hemmed and hawed for three years before buying this Sangean. I love it. Convenient pre-select buttons that are critical when changing channels in the middle of the night- no need to turn on the room light. Equally convenient auto shut off feature. Pulls in stations very well. Excellent sound, even at very low volume setting. My only minor complaint is that the digital readout, while functional, has an uninspiring look.I love this unit!!
