It’s not only a good looking phone but it works good too, good sound quality. Good quality - nice weight. Easy to to use because my room was already wired for it so all I did was plug it in. The only thing it does have called id but I don’t answer the phone if I don’t want to talk.

I am that person who has a land line in my house that I use as the throw down number for any callers I want to screen. I keep the line because I've had it FOREVER and it is now a bit of nostalgia for my adult sons who memorized their "home" phone in case of emergency. Well, I found out the hard way that the cordless phones I had in place with an answering machine did not work so I needed a replacement to capture the few calls that do come in on that line. I decided to go retro and get a corded phone with a simple answering machine and wanted to hand the phone as a functional wall decoration (and reminder of my childhood spent talking to friends for hours on a corded phone). This phone was cute enough to blend into my farmhouse decor and I got it on a whim as the necessary phone for my block answering machine. I like the brownish wood look and this will look good on my wall. It worked straight out of the box and my sons had a good time playing with an ancient artifact from my childhood (and have no concept of a rotary phone). Overall, this is a cute phone for my purposes but the sound quality is not that great (and is the reason for knocking off a star). Ironically, the first time we got a call on the new phone, none of us recognized the bell ring and it took us a bit to figure out who's phone was calling or if it was an alarm!

This was suppose to work without AC Power but I lost power and the phone doesn't work. Worthless

Interesting vintage look, sort of. Has cloth covered handset cord. The cord from the bottom of the phone to wall jack is too large to fit under the retaining clips built into the base, thus the cord doesn't really get any strain relief.Handset volume is two positions, couldn't tell any difference.It works, so using in our basement as a convenience phone.

I'm surprised by the quality & craftsmanship of this phone. It looks amazing out of the box. The buttons glisten like gold and the sound is better than most landline phones I've ever owned. It of course functions superbly!😁Secret for you. When I first opened it all I could think was "big foot".The design reminded me of woodland creatures and mystical trees with their fancy bark. And then *big foot" if there ever was one his hair & fur would be just as sleek, shiny and awesome as the pattern on this phone. My daughter was enchanted by him long ago and is now spellbound by this phone because I couldn't resist adding some sasquatch stickers to it!🤔😊

I'm a performer who got this phone as a prop. It kind of has a steampunk look to it, but it's a modern phone that actually works. The sound quality is great, but I particularly like the look and build of this phone. It makes me feel like a fancy Mad Men executive having it hanging on the wall in the kitchen.

Didn't actually think this would work so good! This has me reliving the good ol days. Lol! I definitely recommend this phone for your home, especially if you have it decorated to look vintage, or just old school. Great value and built quite well.
