Bought this as a luxury treat thinking it looked nice but couldn't really be much better than any other grinder. Was wrong - a completely different experience. Just feels luxurious and like it will work forever. Really like the curved chamber which makes it really easy to fill dosing caps straight from there. Still a treat but justifiable on sustainability grounds or something like that I shall say.

Solidly built, smooth screw-in action, and most notably grinds product into a fluffy heap that fills a good-size chamber to hold the ground product. Pricey, yes....but worth it after you've tried cheaper ones.

It’s a good grinder. Shreds material into a fluffy consistency which I like. The metal rubs together though which my space case didn’t but this is also 1/2 the price.

I was a bit wary on this one -- it costs WAY more than my previous grinder from another company. They both look similar... The Santa Cruz seemed overpriced. (Couldn't I buy a decent chefs knife for this much money?)But once I tried the Santa Cruz, I saw that it's worth it. It grinds much easier, creates a nice fluffy result, and the rounded receptacle chamber makes it easy to scoop out the results.Pro Tip: At least at the time of this writing, different colors of the same model cost different amounts. I saved a few bucks by picking a color that I like but was less expensive. Go figure.

This grinder works perfectly and feels sturdy in hand. The knurled top makes it easy to grip, even if your hands are a little slick. The size is just right, and the red color looks great too. Definitely worth it.

I had another cheap shredder before getting this one, and the difference is impressive! The flower got all gunked up in the cheap model, whereas the Santa Cruz shredder delivers fluffy fine ground bud in the collection compartment with just a few twists every time. Shame this one doesn’t have a kief catcher but the 4-piece model was more expensive than what I was prepared to pay.
