This kit is compact and easy to use. I have a penchant for vintage dish ware and this test is quick and easy way to check for lead.

Unfortunately I have items that tested positive for lead. I even found lead DUST which I now have to find the culprit of.

I found this test kit fairly easy to figure out and use. Parts of it don't feel like the highest quality. I personally have a separate UV flashlight that I like a lot better, which still worked just fine with the rest of the kit. As far as I know results are accurate, but I have nothing else to compare it with. I think this is a nice, simple kit for someone wanting to test basic items like dishware or toys. It's easy to use at home, but I'd definitely recommend storing well away from little ones in a safe space.

Flashlight is garbage. Yes, I took the little barrier out of the battery compartment. I got it to work for a few seconds and the spray seems effective, which is why I’m giving it two stars.

Never worked! Took it out of the package tried it out, never could get the light on. No tab to pull out to activate battery. Just never turned on. Tried to return it and it says it’s not eligible to return. $35 is now in the trash. Don’t waste your money.

It came broken and they don’t offer returns for this item. The spray was liking the uv light not working everything came wet with the chemicals to detect lead. Terrible product.
