I received the new Scotty Pulley upgrade a few hours ago and inspected it for installation because I plan on fishing soon. My current pulley sustained damage when my auto stop failed on my down rigger. The new pulley has a plastic tag in the center of the wheel. It appears to be from the plastic mold used to produce the part. Unfortunately the tag is dead center and sharp. While I am tempted to try to repair it, I will return it and miss out on fishing tomorrow.

I broke the one I had so I bought this one to put on the Downrigger it works great! I have used it probably 30 times already. I can’t wait for spring to go out again.

Original replacement. Replace the worn out pulleys with groves. Run the deep troller at a 45 degree angle to avoid cutting into the pulley with the wire.
