If you are replacing your screened door latches and want the existing holes and latch to match up, make sure you pay attention to the outside design (top to bottom) and if the push button on the outside is circular or square/rectangle. If you change your existing design you'll end up having to drill new holes and it can make your install look bad. This one is exactly the same as when my home was first built 13 years ago. I have taken others that are similar but require new drilling into my aluminum doors and frame to the screeed-in front porch. I have bought the wrong ones at Lowes and Home Depot. If you find the exact replacement, by another one as a backup. They don't last like they used to if used often, like ours are. The metal they're made out of is made overseas and just doesn't last but 5 years or so. I have front and back porches and they use the same hardware (latches) and I go through this so often, I've become an expert. LOL.

The pin to push the handle open was too short so you had to really push it in to open. Then after a couple of weeks, the handle broke off completely.
