This is a highly affordable set of tools and supplies for replacing damaged screens. While a basic plastic spline tool from the hardware store costs nearly the same, this set includes two quality wooden-handle spline tools, eight clips, a pick tool, and 32 feet of .15" (4mm) spline.I own an all-plastic tool, and the difference in quality and feel of these wooden-handled tools is noticeable. The nylon roller is slightly wider than the metal roller, and I prefer using the nylon roller when possible to avoid damaging the fiberglass mesh while pressing the spline into place. The pick tool is perfect for removing old spline from the frames, and the metal clips are helpful for holding the opposite end of the mesh steady while working in the spline. The convex end of the tool is useful for pushing the spline deeper into its channel, creating a bit more tension on the mesh to prevent sagging.I’m very pleased with this set, and the only additional item needed is the mesh itself. Since the included spline is .15", you might require a different size depending on your project.

Wasn't expecting the tools to be as large as they were. I'm talking about the size of large kitchen shears. My boyfriend has large hands and needed something that wouldn't break when he was using them. He is also heavy handed, so his tools need to work as hard as he does. This came with the screen clips and extra nylon wiring in case you didn't have any. I would remind people that this is for REPAIRS (in terms of the supplies provided) and not if you're just building your lanai from scratch. You'll need way more material.
