I wouldn’t recommend this product I’ve had it on my boat trailer for less than 2 months and it is already squeaking like crazy when using it. I’ve never launched my boat in salt water only fresh in my time since it’s been on my trailer. I also don’t have to back my boat up far enough for water to get into the trailer jack when launching I’m pretty disappointed in this product and wish I had just gone back with the harbor freight one i had on my trailer because there is no difference in quality and I’d say this one started making noise twice as fast.

I purchased this item about three weeks ago and everything was as expected. Mounted fine, works fine, etc. My only issue is that in the first use of my trailer on the highway, the grease cap dislodged and now the gears are exposed to dirt and weather. If I can get a replacement cap sent to me, I'd be a satisfied customer.

Check the hight measure 2 times and then spen the extra and go bigger.It works grate for my small trailer had to get a taller one for the boat.

This unit replaced the original one on my trailer, which is lighter and designed for a 17-foot, 285-pound lifeboat. The unit is easy to install and use. You would lubricate it each time you use it in salt water after a good wash down, especially in the guide that raises and lowers the trailer, or it will rust out like the original one did.

It does as it's supposed to for a couple years. Then it will rust as most of them do. They last about two years in a salt water enviroment then need replacing again. At least they are cheap.

This was easy to install on my utility trailer and it works great. Like other trailers i’ve had the wheel sometimes doesn’t turn easily when you’re trying to steer the trailer as you’re pushing it, but it still gets the job done much better than a solid jack post.
