I installed this wear ring on my 1996 Seadoo GTI. The wear ring slid right into place without freezing or anything to shrink it. After installing, the impeller would scrape against the inside diameter of the wear ring, which made the impeller hard to turn. I had to use a grinder to get the wear ring to fit properly. This product was a decent price point all things considered, but I will probably be looking for an alternative next time I purchase a wear ring.

OD of ring was too small for the jet pump housing, it could just drop in (and out) with both parts at the same temperature. ID was correct and an ideally tight fit on the impeller. I know it is not the housing itself because I have another new plastic wear ring that fits properly. Ended up using RTV silicone to get it to stay in place, time will tell if that holds up. Not a job I want to do again - the whole reason for using a stainless wear ring.

As the image shows, you can't even fit a credit card between the impeller and stainless steel liner, it is so tight - which is great! This is installed on a 1996 SeaDoo GTI with the original jet pump and impeller.By freezing the wear ring overnight, it just dropped in easily without having to hammer it at all. As soon as it warmed up, it could not be pulled out.I have only used PTFE/Teflon wear rings before and have no experience with stainless steel rings, but this should last a long time and give optimal jet pump performance. I sure hope so - as removing a damaged steel ring with a grinder would likely be very difficult.
