Exactly what I was expecting. I have relied on Seagate drives for years. Reliable drive, low heat, with transfer speeds as advertised. Great functionality at a great price. It is very noisy though.

No issue with the seller or delivery (both great). However, the drive failed in less than a week (multiple SMART errors, NAS won't attempt to use it). Yes, it's under warranty, but what a waste of time...

It’ll work as a temporary fix. My current hard drive failed, so I got this to get by while the back ordered drives come back into stock. The date of manufacture is 10/12; 11 years ago. Magnets deteriorate and this drive is no exception. It’s definitely old, and it performs like an old drive. For 40 bucks, it’ll work fine. But if you’re buying this for a permanent fix, I’d check other vendors first.

Replaced bad drive and it worked right away (iomega storcenter ix4).I was thinking about new NAS but why not keep old alive. :)

what can i say its a hard drive 3tb for 41$ no way i could pass it up excellent storage solution. my experience with ssd's vs HDD for is the ssd's cache runs out and slows way down in all my experience with hdd's is if you are copying and pasting 20GB and up files the hdd stays above 100MB and the ssds bog down to like 180 kbps ssds are definitely faster booting and for copying or reading files the ssd is the way to go what i prefer to do is have ssd for os a hdd for backups and general storage and if i game on that machine i usually put in a dedicated ssd in it just for installing games only. great bang for the buck cant be beat

書き込み書き出し共に正常に動作していますが、ギーコギーコというような他のHDでは聞いたことがない異音がします。うるさいと言うほどではないのですが、壊れそうな感じの音で不安になります。

This is exactly what I need to expand my external storage. I know that a 4TB drive would be cheaper per terabyte but I only needed the amount I bought and it was, by far, the best price with the best warranty I could find after more than a week of searching on the internet. Plus, I got it quicker and with free shipping than any other vendor I sought out. No complaints on this end.

All 3 drives came with zero runtime according to SMART, and they formatted and appear in Windows with no issues. Fairly prompt shipping. Good price, great value.
