This is OK for making small batches and kids would love it... but not suitable if you're a bit more serious about making ice cream at home - there are better options out there.

Even though summer is almost over, ice cream can be enjoyed anytime. My other ice cream makers are 2qt and I found they were too big for our family of 3 so this 1qt size is perfect. It’s also a lot smaller and takes up less freezer space. I freeze the ice cream bowl in the freezer for about 8 hours, place 500g of yogurt along with a cup of ingredients (berries, bananas + nutella, peanut butter + chocolate, peach + raspberry, lemon, etc.) This ice cream maker is easy to use and each batch takes about half an hour to make. It’s easy to clean afterwards and it’s not too big to store. I like that I don’t need to prepare any ice cubes. The only issue is that the paddle doesn't feel like it’s very high quality and the plastic will break if it’s used a lot over time. Only time will tell how long this ice cream maker will last but I see our family using it every two weeks to make a delicious frozen treat.

I followed instructions and all it made was a sticky and melted ice cream mess.

I like this ice cream maker it's cute but a bit small so you can not make a huge amount of ice cream at once, but it's enough for a few serving. It's pretty easy to use but does require a bit of prep before hand. It is pretty fun to be able to use it create a unique and creative ice cream flavors. Can also be a fun family activity. I would prefer if it was a bit larger, but this is still nice for trying out some new recipes and flavors.

I ordered this to see if I enjoyed home made ice cream (and the work that goes into it) before I invested in a more expensive ice cream maker. My freezer is usually full, so finding space to store an object this large in there was a chore. Once it spent enough time in the freezer it was a rush to get all the ingredients into the bowl so they could start mixing. My hint is to also store your pre-measured ingredients in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour before making the ice cream. Starting out with extra cold ingredients makes it work a bit better (but don't freeze them). The instructions were good and it came with some recipes to get you started. I like that you can customize the ingredients to your own taste. I found the amount it makes pretty small, best for a single or a couple, but not a family. I didn't find making ice cream was overly hard, so I would likely invest in a bigger machine, and would suggest that if you know you will be making a lot then also to skip this little guy and get one that suits your purpose. If you only want a small amount of ice cream now and then, and are able to pre-plan when you want it, then this machine is a decent option.

I got this gift for my birthday and I wanted to make ice cream but the mixer part doesn't work properly at all. It won't mix. It won't spin so now I'm using my handheld mixer to make ice cream out of the bowl. I would like a refund.

Frozen the bowl, put my ingredients in the bowl, ran the blender for 40 min and watched it the whole time. Just cold liquid cream. Not even close to becoming ice-cream.
