Your cart is empty.The Tac Tic is the result of a collaboration between Majid Karami and "Tres Lados" Cajon builders Stefan Emmerich, it is a new combination of a shaker and castanets. The Tac Tic is much more than just an add-on for Cajons, because they can also be played without the Cajon if desired. 6 jingles in total can be muted by the screw system of the Tac Tic. On the front there two small wooden discs, called Kaskaritas, which produce assertive Klack sounds when struck with the fingers. Gizmos like this usually are priced pretty high for what you’re actually getting in my opinion. This one is super fun and functional and really easy to tinker with if you like modifying your stuff. I do wish the chimes were differnent. They are kinda bell like when loose and finding a happy medium for a closed high hat sound can be tricky.. but fun? Click clack is cool. At this price just buy two. One for each side. One gripe is I tap the wooden part for the highhat sound and the whole unit is trying to peel off the velcro. I have plans to kinda mount it to a larger plate soon. I took the elastic strap thing off because I was never going to use it as a shaker.

This sounds terrific. The shaker is super handy. I play behind a jazz cat and sometimes I have no idea what he's trying to do so I just pull this off the cajon and use it as a shaker. Other times it's adding a unique sound to whatever I'm playing. Excellent quality. I mounted it on the top of the cajon so I can play it and the cajon at the same time if that's what I want. Hit the cajon with the far knuckles and the Tac Tic with the base of my palm.
