First, I would like to say that I do not have a green thumb and this garden thing proves it. I've tried multiple times to grow herbs and I was optimistic with this garden because it promised to "plant the seeds and it grows". Instead, the seeds initially sprout giving you tons of hope. A few days later, the sprouts dry up and die. To add insult to injury, then a thin layer of mold appears on the dirt disks. We bought two of these - one for my daughter (who has a green thumb) and one for me. Needless to say, it didn't work for her either. Don't bother. Epic fail.

I just received this a couple days ago and it was very easy to set up .very good construction of the product and comes with everything needed. You just buy seeds separately. When plants start growing I will post another review with a picture. We'll worth the money.

This indoor herb garden kit has been a great way to grow my own basil, cilantro and mint. Those are just my favorites, but it can do so many more since it comes with 8 seed pods. We’ve had the is set up for about 2 weeks now and we already have seedlings!It comes with everything you need to get started (other than seeds) and was so easy to set up.Some key features for us were the watering compartment that’s easy to refill wi to out having to remove the pots and it lets you know when it needs topping up so no need to worry about watering daily. We also really like that the settings are very easy to set and amend as you wish.We have it set to have the light come on automatically for 16 hours of of 24, but you can set it to be less if needed.

I bought this indoor, hydroponic set to be able to grow herbs indoors, right on my kitchen counter. Where I have them, I was not getting enough light for my plants to be successful. This growing system really appealed to me because it is not just the light, but a sophisticated watering system that lets me schedule lighting and adapt to growing plants. I planted my seeds in the peat pods that came included and they self-water throughout the growing cycle. I like how hands off that part of the process is because I’m often forgetful to water regularly. Missing even a day of watering young seedlings can be catastrophic for them. As they grow, I can adjust the height of the grow lights to accommodate their size. Along the way, I can also adjust the brightness and how long the light is on each day. Once it is set up, it is pretty much a set and forget thing. I only need to check on the water level periodically every few days, which is easy to do using the float. I can use up to 6 spots for growing at once or the system comes with covers for the unused spots to control evaporation. There are also clear covers to be used when sprouting. It works really great.

My friend had one of these and it works like a charm for him. I decided to get one and it fits like a chram on my counter top. It was well packaged, easy to follow instructions, and arrived exactly as advertised. Took cery little time to set it up and now it is time for the plants to grow. I can't wait to have fresh basil again since the cold weather has killed off my out door basil. I got it on sale before Christmas at a great price. Ready for fresh herbs again wihtout having to buy them from the grocery store or wait til SPring to come around.
