Cooling effect is real and the best I've had. Quite comfortable as well. Provides a fluffy cloud like experience. Hopefully it holds up to a bunch of washes.

I bought this Serta mattress pad to cover my brand new 10-inch foam twin mattress. The mattress covering has a raised multi-stitching pattern that is rough to the touch, that makes it uncomfortable to sleep and sit on. I was searching the Amazon site for a quilted mattress pad with padding and limited rows of stitching, and came across the Serta Power Chill. The surface of the Serta pad is smooth to the touch, with minimal rows of stitching. The cool feature is an added bonus. It is silent and comfortable to lay on, and was very easy to put on top of the mattress that also has a mattress encasement pad.

It does feel like a quality mattress protector but does not feel like there is any cooling especially not power cooling.

I was really hoping this pad was going to be more cooling than it is. So when you first lay down it’s very cool but it quickly gets warm. It’s comfortable. I seriously thought about returning it but it’s not annoying enough to get rid of it if that makes sense! I’m not waking up or anything- I sleep pretty got but I did notice the cooling isn’t what you would think.
