I’ve been wanting a set of setup bars for my workshop for some time. So I got these specifically for setting up my table saw and router table. Up to this point, I have been eyeballing my setups with a speed square and while not perfect it got the job done. But these items make it much easier and more precise. I did check them out with my digital caliper and they all were spot on.Overall: A well built set of setup blocks. I like the heft to them and the finish. I have no complaints and these met my needs and expectations. SO I rated them a 5 and would definitely recommend them versus higher priced sets.I got these free as part of the Vine program, but I only participate to try things that I actually need and will use. I try to give a fair and honest opinion and the rating you see is based solely on how my actual needs were met.

These setup blocks are a great little addition to the chaos that is our family garage workshop. My husband and one of our sons are the go-to fix-it guys for all the house and farm projects, and they’ve got a habit of “eyeballing” things that really shouldn’t be eyeballed. These blocks save time, save arguing, and help them avoid that moment of “well, that’s almost square.”They’re solid and easy to grab. These give quick, repeatable measurements without drama. The guys were impressed by how precise they felt, and anything that keeps projects moving forward without needing to start over is a win in this house. They’ve already been used during a weekend scramble to rebuild a chicken coop panel.

These setup jigs are extremely accurate for the cost. I measured each block at every depth measurement and the farthest out was a couple hundredth of an inch. That is well within any reasonable tolerance for woodworking. The wood will change dimensions, seasonally more than a couple hundredth of an inch. They are very versatile allowing you to setup the depth of a saw blade, a router bit, measure the depth of a groove or dado, verify your work and accurately replicate the cut or joint you made. They also have a different angle on the end of each block from 30 to 90 degrees, great for quickly verifying the angle of a saw blade among other things. These are super easy to use, with accuracy you can count on at a price that’s light on your pocket book.

I need to route a 3/8" deep channel, and this gauge gave me perfect accuracy. I also used the 3/16" gauge for the first pass.These gauges have a ton of other features as well, but they work so much better than other methods for measuring cutting and routing depth that you should get them for this reason alone.The handy case and perfect anodized finish are nice bonuses too!

This is a very nice kit for the price. It arrived quick and well-packaged. The speed square is truly square and I measured each block with my digital calipers, they're within tolerance or spot on. As are the angles. The coating feels durable and the nice variety of angles/measurements are easy to read. This set is going to be extremely helpful on my router table and table saw.Only negative I have is some of the thicker blocks had some black adhesive residue on them, it scraped off easily enough without damaging the coating though.Highly recommend.

For years now i've wanted to build a geodesic dome out of wood to serve as a greenhouse. I've read and researched, and the one thing that stopped me was a lack of confidence in being able to set the saw blades to accomplish the needed cuts.Now that worry is solved. Being able to change a blade angle or height and then go back to a previous setup and have everyone as accurate as the first. Blade and router bit height as well as angles, they are all there and in a small kit that will fit well in any tool box with out being so small it gets lost. I wish I had found this earlier in life. The quality, th finish the material these gauges are made from should all last a life time. Let the building begin.

These setup blocks are a wonderful kit.Everyone who works with wood or metal should have at least one kit in their shop. This one is complete. The blocks are beautifully fabricated aluminum. Each one has engraved and painted identifications. They each have a custom slot in the case foam to keep the organized and ready to use. I keep this kit next to my saws and router table stations. In the past, I've always used a measuring tape to set cutting depths. As you can imagine, it's very difficult to attain a fine degree of accuracy that way. These completely solved the problem. They are dead on accurate and so easy to use with incredible, repeated results. I've been building high-end kitchen cabinets for our remodel and these have made all the difference in the world. I've enjoyed amazing, consistent results and no headaches from mistakes and wasted material! I love, love this kit in every way.
