If you’re good paying full price but maybe getting a used one, this is for you! At first I thought maybe it was to display, but there’s 2 different colored threads already, it’s spooled (which directions when setting up walks through this step aka it’s not suppose to be done already), it was left in the on position, like really? :( Clearly this was used by someone and returned. I didn’t select the pre owned option, I expect a new when I pay for new. Had I selected pre owned it wouldn’t bother me, but I want what I pay for not something being passed as something else.

My granddaughter is becoming quite the crafting maven, and sewing is now one of her loves. So, we got her this sewing machine. It's a great starter machine. It gives her several different stitching patterns, has the pedal, and is really easy for her to use, even for some items that are maybe a little more advanced. It looks great, and she uses it a lot. It is a great machine for the price too!

I'm an experienced seamstress and I wanted a true beginner to give this machine a workout so I brought it to my niece's house. She's never sewn before but was willing to give it a try. They have a 5-year-old daughter and she was very curious. and couldn't wait to take it out and sew!It's a basic manual sewing machine that can do straight stitch forward and back, a V-stitch, an overedge stitch, and a 4-step buttonhole and can be operated by either the foot pedal or by a switch on the machine. It's very lightweight, almost like a toy. Stitches are changed by rotating the dial (those are not buttons on the front). She read through the directions and was able to figure it out. The controls are in the appropriate place (presser foot lever, light button, tension discs, etc.) and is super easy to thread, just like my bigger machine.Her daughter wanted to try it so, with lots of supervision, J. sewed her first stitches! It's the perfect size for her but it's not too small for mom to use as well. It comes threaded and with a bobbin ready to go as well as additional bobbins pre-loaded. The thread and needle aren't top-level but it's serviceable for use and can be swapped out for better quality thread and needle with little difficulty. It uses short-shank and snap-on feet. It comes with 3 hemming feet that are kind of hard to use but she'll be able to use standard presser feet. It also comes with a stack of fabric squares for practice. J. was so excited! She wanted to make a dress for her doll. When I got home, I got a text that she had made a tube dress for her doll! The next day, she was at it again!Sewing is one of those things that are gradually fading away. I'm so encouraged by both mom and daughter's desire to learn and this is a great machine to start with. Recommend!

When I received this sewing machine, very surprised because it has so many features and works well than I expected.I can choose various sewing types and easy to use.If you're fixing or making a thin fabric, it makes you satisfied.But if you're using thick fabric, you may get in trouble many times, like jamming, crossing the string, and hard sewing.I think the motor power may not be enough when using thick fabric.But if you sewing lightly or quickly with thin fabric, it is a good option. The sewing speed is also not slow.

I ordered this to present as a gift to my 10 year neice. She was so super excited! I'm an almost 60 year old man and what I learned about sewing machines is close to 50 year's outdated. My mom did show me how to sew on her machine when I was about my neice's age, and then I promptly never used it again and forgot almost everything. Even though the skill is not needed or used as much as it used to be, I still think it's a great skill to have. She has a family friend who is going to teach her by video call every week (Because I'd be useless as an instructor!). This friend is very skilled with machines and said this model is fantastic for beginners and light use. I'm very impressed with the selection of stitches in such an inexpensive machine. This comes with eveything you need to get started right out of the box - even some fabric to try it out on! I'm thrilled that my neice is so excited about something crafty and creative and even kind of retro. It's like when my daughter told me around 2016 or so that she liked the sound of vinyl albums best... It's nostalgic, and it kind of gives me a feeling of validation of the quality of the things I grew up with. I'm glad she appreciates the sewing machine and I hope it opens up a world of physical and analog creativity for her. The smile on my neice's face when I gave this to her and her desire to learn how to use it well makes this an excellent value!

How cool is this??!! I now have hope that I can one day be able to work my grandmother's sewing machine that she left for me before she passed away that we unfortunately never got the chance to teach me how to use! I have been way to intimidated! I was so surprised to see how well this wa made and all the features it comes with and for the price. Its so tiny! They have provided several pieces of fabric that I cant wait to practice on bc this has 12 different options for stitching! There is a little foot pedal and I think its crazy that it can be battery operated! I feel pretty confident in saying that its easy to use as i have found several you tue videos that give great teaching lessons on how to operate this but I have been going at my own pace and haven't covered a lot of ground. But so far, I haven't had any issues and have learned to properly thread it and will begin learning my first stitches tonight. If any problems arise, I plan to document them here. As a beginner, I would say this is such a good buy and I think in no time, I will be successfully seeing my first project together. Wish me luck!!
