We have lots of iron in our city water. Many things turn orange over time so you can imagine we aren't very interested in drinking it. Using this filer system is one step we use to successfully treat what it is we drink and cook with. We love it.

We have been using Seychelles water filtering system for over ten years. I trust that it filters our drinking water. True. I have to purchase new filters routinely, but I think overall, I’m saving money and greatly reducing the use of plastic bottles. Helping the environment and getting clean water too. Win win!

I wish it didn’t leak at the top and sealed better, it appears cheap material for the price but the filter is awesome so I continue to buy it and keep it safe as possible. Saves money on buying waterbottles and very healthy

I purchased this item with additional filters. It was super expensive, but had really good reviews so I decided to try it. The , and after about five days they stopped working. After leaving it overnight the water wasn’t filtering through. I waited and continue to try to filter water through the filters and give it more attempts. After about a month, I tried to return it, but couldn’t through Amazon. I then contacted the company itself which is where Amazon directs you and they said they could not help me because I purchased it through Amazon. I’m unclear why because this is their store on Amazon. They said they would contact Amazon and if they’re able to help they would get back to me. No one has. I’m going to throw it in the garbage but it is extremely expensive and Honestly, not a good product. After reading through many reviews, I see that it is not rare for this to happen. Seems like they need to make an overhaul of their filters.

I was leery of this purchase already, due to others stating it didn't change the pH, or that the filters didn't last very long. I would say both are fair assessments of this item.I used a properly-calibrated pH meter to test the water. It only raised the pH of our bottled spring water by 1.5, and that was when the filters were brand new. The bottled water was already 8.5, which is sufficient for my needs (I had no idea the pH was so high at the time I ordered the pitcher). In less than a week, the pitcher was not raising the pH AT ALL. I followed the directions for flushing the filters, exactly as stated in the enclosed leaflet, and I did not allow the filters to be submerged by the water in the pitcher at any time (suggested by someone in the review section, which made sense for preventing the filtering material from wearing out). So, it's extremely expensive and utterly useless to us. Since their claims of creating alkaline water are false, I have to assume their filters don't work for anything else they claim, either - we were also interested in the claim it removes arsenic, since we're full-time RVers and sometimes the well water in parks is contaminated. Considering the fact that a pack of their filters seems to cost more than the original pitcher with the two filters included, this appears to be nothing but a cash grab. Typical subscription-like money siphon.

Cannot find in the UK filters for this jug. The wrong filter is listed to buy but not the dual filter of this jug. So I have the jug but no backup filters to buy. This becomes pointless cost too much for a one off use.

This is my second brand for filters that screw on to the reservoir from the bottom. At first, I didn't give it a second thought. Then -- and this is another brand I'm referring to -- came an issue in which a replacement filter did not seal like the previous one. Back to the current brand, Seychelle, the two smaller filters instead of one big filter seemed worth a try as the grooves are smaller and seemed more likely not to leak. So far, so good. I will update this review when it's time to replace them just to be sure.I live in an urban area and the water is fluoridated. While filters that remove some fluoride are on the rise, and that's an encouraging trend, if you have a lot of fluoride, you need a filter built for that. I haven't tested it yet but have a kit on the way and, again, will update this review with those results. For now, I can say the filtered water tastes very nice! Finally, for now, I confess to hesitating a little to go with Seychelle per some of the negative comments. I'm happy that the positive comments won out. I did have a small detail to resolve with the shipping and handling of my pitcher and Seychelle responded the same day and were a pleasure to deal with as we sorted it out. Add that my pitcher arrived as fast as Prime but without Prime -- certainly not always the case -- and I have to say they've won me over. I'm convinced that they care about customer satisfaction.

I've used several water filters over the years, the last one being the Mavea water pitchers. Before that I used another brand that had a hose that attached the carafe to the faucet (which is no longer made, it was at least a certified brand that could filter out even the worst contaminants). I've been to people's homes who served me water filtered through Brita and found thAt water to taste awful. Now, I gave this brand a try and to be honest I'm absolutely stunned by how good this water tastes. It reminds me of water I used to drink growing up in the 80s before so much fluoride and chlorine were added to tap water. In fact, it does remind me a bit of well water, but not that horrific acidic tasting well water from the Northeast. I don't honestly care about neutral pH in water, but if this is what it takes to make water taste this good, then consider me a new fan. Please support this brand, which is also apparently made in America and has a strong backing of health conscious, eco friendly folks. If you live in an area with bad water, this filter is a necessity, especially if there are tons of bad contaminants present. Florida has some surprisingly nasty water on par with the nasty stuff you'd drink in NY, PA, NJ, etc.Pro-- Best tasting water in years. Even better than bottled water, except for fiji. Also made in USA. That still counts for something!Cons-- The replacement filters are expensive and you will likely change them once a month if you use this a lot (and I think most people will). They also offer filters that can take care of radiological contaminants, which I'm certain would require frequent changing.
