This tablet/phone pedestal is a start of something that could be a good design. The wide base is stable enough to hold heavier tablet computers. The arm is adjustable and the head swivels to any position that's needed. This is the start of a good design.- Where this pedestal needs help....Base Color - The base should be black to match the articulating arm rather than white.Tightening Arm - The joints in the articulating arms need to be tightened with an allen wrench. The allen wrench was included, but frequent use would cause the allen wrench or screws to strip out. It would be much better to have wing nuts or knobs to tighten.Overall. If you plan to have your phone or table in one position all the time, then this pedestal stand is a good choice. If you plan to make frequent adjustments, then choose a pedestal that is easier to adjust.

I love the size and shape of this stand. It’s perfect for my kindle, doesn’t take up a tremendous amount of space and almost works as I need it.Big issue…the weight of my kindle drags it down. It won’t stay straight upright. It has tightening holes on the side, but they are horrible. It comes with a tightening wrench that is too large for the holes. I used my own tools to tighten, but mine are too large or too small. I did manage to fight with it, pressing super hard and forcing it a bit tighter, but it’s not great. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time…but, it appears that I’m doing the only thing I can do to tighten. This being said, I personally don’t need for it to go straight, and drooping down isn’t too bad for me…but, if I needed it tall as shown in description I would be more disappointed.

Takes a little to adjust depending on the item, but once setup it is great. Feels quality and modern. Would buy again

This stand is just ok. I've used similar ones before and they were able to hold up my phone or kindle in just about any position. It took me a minute to figure out that I needed to tighten every screw to put it in the position I wanted it, but that makes it so that it's less easy to change positions and maneuver without feeling like I'm stressing out the joints. Plus if you do want to adjust the position, you'll need to have the little tool around which is not ideal.

This SH Adjustable Kindle Stand is a nice design but it is extremely hard to tighten because the Allen wrench is too big to use. I used my own but it's still very difficult to adjust and no matter how hard I tighten it, the tablet weighs it down and I can't keep it at the angle I prefer. I like that the stand is compact but I really wish it were a little easier to manage.

I was really excited about this Kindle stand but it was not nearly as easy to set up as I had hoped. Based on the description and pictures, I thought that I would be able to use it right out of the box. That was definitely not the case. First, the directions that come with the holder are very unclear/ unhelpful. Once I figured out (on my own) how to attach the holder to the stand, I had hoped the hard part was done. However, I then learned that regardless of what I put on it (my phone or my kindle), the arms were unable to support the weight and the whole mechanism would just fold in/ flop down.I gradually figured out how to tighten the different screws at the joints to make the holder more sturdy (they supply a tool; helpful hint - the two sides of the tool are actually slightly different sizes, so if one side isn't doing the trick, switch the side you are using). But, it was very hard to tighten them enough so that the arms could bear the weight of my devices. One of them still can't bear much weight despite the fact that I very forcefully put all my strength into trying to tighten the screw.Final verdict: If you are looking for something simple to adjust and use, especially on the go or with frequent adjustments needed, you should probably keep looking. If you are okay with working with this product until you can get it tight enough, you will eventually have a good holder that does the job. I've successfully used it to support my phone and kindle on my kitchen counter and on a TV tray in my living room for reading (see pictures) However, considering how hard it was for me to get the screws tight enough for the mechanism to support my kindle paperwhite, I definitely cannot recommend it for tablets or other larger devices.

I got this to support a small monitor for my computer. The monitor is just slightly longer than my iPad and bout the same weight. Once I resolved getting the connections tight enough to not droop when the monitor was inserted, I really liked the result. It was getting the arm to keep the desired position was the issue. Using the fallen wrench provided I tried to tighten the arm's swivel points with minimal luck. I then dug through my toolbox and found an Allen Wrench of he appropriate size. With this better tool, I was able to tighten the joints so that it holds the position that I want.
