These retractable colored Sharpies are exactly what we needed for our drawing obsessed teenager. The only issue was that one of the markers (the orange), came defective: the retractable tip was stuck & wouldn’t extract the tip. We tried to repair, but it kept repeating & ultimately damaged the felt tip, so we had to eliminate it. Other than that issue, which is a first for us with any Sharpie item, they’re pretty great markers.

they are much better that the old style ones where you have to remove and replace the cap to use..plus those ones dry out fast....i like the new retractable ones much better...

I use these markers for work and have trouble opening caps due to carpel tunnel. The retractable cap is great- just like using a clicker pen. It does seem as if the ink is running out a little sooner than expected but overall I still like using these because it's easier for me with my hands. The 3 pack was a good price.

These are the cats meow of sharpies. Being retractable is the key. We keep a supply of these on hand at all times. I purchased this pack to accompany a gift of red drink cups and holder, but I think we should all have a supply of these. Once you use these, you won't go back.

I was initially surprised that a first grader school supply list included a black sharpie. Turns out they use it quite often, and I just need to adjust to my child now wielding a permanent marker . Quite a big leap from crayola products. HahaI have plenty of sharpies at home, and we practiced removing and replacing the cap. At least every other attempt she would mark her hands with just the process of uncapping. So, picked up these retractable options and they work like a dream. No more unnecessary accidental but quite permanent markings. No more lost caps. And most of it, long lasting. Works just as brand new, and she’s been using almost daily since school started.

I have to use Sharpies on a fairly regular basis. I need to write one thing and then about 15 minutes later I need to write something else. I'm always losing caps to my Sharpies or else I don't click it on completely and then the pen dries out. These are great! They act like a ball point pen. When you need it, you push the button on top. When you're done, you push the button again. What could be simpler? The last one of these I bought lasted me a couple of years. I expect these to do the same.

I bought these to use on labels of food stored in the freezer because I needed something that wouldn't smear and fade, which makes for lots of guess work as to what's in a package. I got the retractable marker because I figured it would have less chance of drying out over time. So far so good, although it hasn't been but a month or so since my purchase. That's why I only gave it 3 stars for longevity. If there was a rating that said "too soon to tell," I'd have selected that. The marker is, indeed permanent--no smudgy frozen food labels. The only thing that could be better is if the point were a bit finer. Although this is supposed to be "fine point," to me it seems more like medium point. But that's a small matter really.

Very fun, and colourful set of markers. The retractable mechanism is ingenious for these Sharpies! Absolutely love them and they work just like other fine pointed markers.

Marvelous Sharpie markers due to the retractable push button feature. In the past, I have either placed the cap of a Sharpie into my mouth while I used the marker or I would simply drop it somewhere. Now with a simple push, the retractable Sharpie is ready to use without having to figure out what to do with the cap. When finished using the marker, another simple push of the button will retract the marker. This is much more convenient than the ones I used previously which had a removable cap.The various colors that came in the package made it ideal for the different projects I had around the house. As long as these retractable Sharpie markers are available, I will never go back to the ones with the cap.
