Works very well and very high powered. Would recommend only using on a dog with very thick fur if using on a dog. Worked very well for my pyrenees. Be careful, I could see it being easy to nick the animal

The blade is sharp and works great, first and foremost! I read a lot of previous reviews from pet owners who seemed to like it. Our dog has curly hair that matts easily, we haven’t found a razor that works.. so I thought sheep sheers could do the trick. These just do not seem suitable for pets, they are incredibly noisy and are scary for you and your pet. I think it’s best to know more about how to maneuver the tool before getting it and consider that. These are NOT like regular razors and we cut our dog twice in the process, while being very hesistant. The product is fine and works, but I wouldn’t recommend buying for your pets!

This is a heavy product and has heavy duty cutting ability. Don't be careless. This shear can seriously injure a person or animal. Example the blades are swiping back and forth with power. If you get an ear or tendon in the cutting path it is getting cut. Use this product with caution and attention because it is going to cut whatever goes in the blade opening. It's similar to a hedge trimmer, the blades go back and forth with power. No guard on this one... It's the one the guy who has a flock of sheep uses. The back of my St Bernard's leg has a large tendon and careless use of this tool would cut it in half like a hedge trimmer cuts a half inch tree limb.

I have a long thick haired dog whose hair is nearly unmanageable. When looking for ways to manage his hair, I found your product under dog trimmer. I read the reviews and most are excellent, however, my disappointment is beyond words. I can not stress to you enough the importance of accurate advertising. “Safe for most long haired dogs, rabbits, etc” no, not safe for any dog and I highly doubt a rabbit. In big BOLD letters it should state not safe for dogs at all. I was trimming my dog, he BARELY made a move and in less than a second his tail is gushing blood. Not a little blood, I mean perfuse, uncontrollable bleeding. Thank god I have some medical knowledge and did a turner kit that ended up saving Rusty’s life. I rushed him to an emergency vet a hour away to find that this thing cut the tip of my dogs tail off and took an artery with it. $2000+ for the surgery to remove part of his tail to stop the bleeding. He’s an old boy and the surgery for his age is risky in itself. After reading the description and reviews, I bought what I thought was a safe option for my dog and he nearly died because of it. Please, “safe for most long haired dogs” should in no way be part of of this description. Regretful is the only way I can think to describe how I feel after purchasing these sheers. Please, save other pets and make it clear that these should not be used for dog.If you’re reading, please, no matter how big or long haired your dog is. Do not buy these.

These are a corded clipper, I did not assume they were cordless as described because of the picture, Clipped one full, large horse, in about 1 1/2 hours, you have to be super man to do 6-10 horses an hour like it says. I have used many clippers and clipped many horses. These were not overly heavy for the size, no issue there, not quite as loud as big Oster clippers, but loud enoughClippers stayed cool, stopped 4 times momentarily to clean and oil, and kept going, ususally I would alternate between my small clippers doing head and legs and big clippers on the body, but these did not need a rest.I will have to compare with other clipper blades to determine replacement blade size
