signs of digestive upset in rabbits

Signs of digestive upset

Digestive health, G.I. tract motility, energy and appetite are all closely related to each other. If one declines then the others will decline too.

feeding greens increases the signs of digestive upset

Feeding greens will increase signs of digestive upset

Feeding even a small amount of greens to a 6 pound rabbit caused these signs of digestive upset to appear within a few days and it took over a week of not feeding any greens to fix it.

most timothy pellets contain more grain and soy than hay

Most pellets contain too much grain and soy and cause digestive upset

If hay is the first ingredient is the formula mostly hay? No! Most brands cut costs by adding soybean hulls or oat hulls to replace as much hay as possible. They also contain more grain and soy products than hay.

Sherwood's hay-based formulas prevent digestive upset

Excellent alternative to Oxbow's Critical Care. High quality. I always keep this in stock for any GI Statsis situations. Sherwood Pet Health makes quality products to keep bunnies healthy...

We started buying this when Oxbow brand had a production shortage. It's just as good and fairly priced. Our little dwarf bunny never resumed eating hay adequately even after having dental work. He was eating this almost exclusively for the last year+ of his life.

I have a bunny who would never eat pellets, and has always been thin. This keeps his weight up and gives him essential nutrients.

This saved my daughter's bunny's life. Her bunny got very sick from some contaminated carrots that were recalled and said to have had ecoli. We had no idea why her bunny kept getting worse and worse until we saw the recall notice. I quickly bought this and it was in the nick of time. Her bunny was weak, skinny and lethargic. Within two weeks of giving her this treatment, she was back to gaining weight and doing binkies. She's now a happy, healthy bunny!

We started using this product because Critical Care recovery food was unavailable for awhile. Switching to Sherwood was the best move. Not only it's a respected company but our rabbit loves it. She's using it for weight gain. There was a short period of transitioning to Sherwood as she was used to Critical care but now she can't get enough.

Bunny took to the formula fine however, you need a large syringe. I had to grab a dog size syringe in a pinch at the store to make this work. Recommended syringes would be nice in advance.
