Been using this reel for about a year and couldn't be happier with the performance. This is a solidly built, and beautiful looking reel.I've used it to pull in King Salmon, Halibut, and Lingcod out of the SF Bay Area. Even after a year of good use its still in tip-top condition and will surely keep bringing in many more fish for me over the years.I originally got this reel after going on a fishing charter and using it there. The charter was run by a commercial halibut fisherman who has been doing his craft for 30 years. He swore by this Shimano reel, and I can see why now.Customer Note:I just recently bought a second TLD-15 reel from Amazon, and after spooling the line on it, I realized that the lever drag was not doing its job. The drag was just not holding, and the line was almost free-spooling even with the max drag set. Definitely test your reels asap after buying to make sure you're not getting something with a potential defect. Maybe choose to buy it locally instead if you're not a skilled fisherman yet, so you can get it spooled and tested at the shop first properly

El carrete tiene muy buena pinta, el único inconveniente para mí, es que la manivela de recogida de línea está en la mano derecha y yo estoy acostumbrado hacerlo con la izquierda ... mucho cuidado con la caña que lo vais a utilizar, yo lo compré para usarlo con una caña de jiging con el kayak y no entraba en el potacarrete , por este motivo lo devolví ...

Top notch reel. I have always used Baitrunners but my others left me feeling like the fish was playing me rather than the other way round if I got a 30lb+ carp hooked. I now use three of these as my night fishing set up and have been reliably informed by a friend of mine that these could be used for sea fishing up to a point.
