Works.I did not find it unstable at all, but perhaps if you had like rubber boots or tall boots that don't unzip they might be too heavy for this little guy? so balance it out with other items or at them minimum alternate.to be honest it doesn't seem to be particularly well made, so don't drop it or be rough with it, and it should work - heat up and dry shoes or socks or mittens for a while. One other thing I found odd or as a negative is they have a big display that shows 48C.. regardless if it's on or off powered or not and it doesnt change .. stupid. If it's going to be there it should read the current temperature and show as it's rising to the target which I understand is the 48C.I'm hoping this will dry sweaty shoes and remove or prevent odor to some degree.I tried it today as a test with 1 pair of sneakers, it was not unstable and the blowers warmed quickly. Then I added a 2nd pair of sneakers and to complete the review I swapped out 1 pair of sneakers for some tall boots but they unzip.I do like the timer options, not sure if I will pick 2 hours moving forward I tested out the 1 hour timer today and started at low and then decided high air flow would be better.I also noticed but didn't test it out that there is an on off button on 2 of the arms so if you are only drying 2 things I guess shut those off but I think that is a waste if they are pushed in that should indicated that it is off and thus no need for this switch.Ultimately 40 might be a little high for this contraption but I like it so far, and just set it up in my laundry room which is close enough to wear my sneakers would normally go.

He can't stretch his arms far enough to dry my boots. His reach is too short.

If I only want to dry a pair of shoes, then it is unstable. If I place my shoes on it, it will tip over.

This dryer successfully dried some.house slippers that had been left outside, but that's about the limit of their utility. The arms are pretty short and the base is very light. There's no way a big winter boot would fit on here l. The material feels cheap and brittle, and I imagine it won't last very long. It does create hot air, but not very much of it. Again, probably okay for a small shoe or slipper. The UV light looks totally useless. It's dim and only shines on the heel of the shoe. In general, this is not the best version of this product.
