Robust, and more solid than I had hoped. Like many, I've become used to disappointment when ordering something from pictures (like you are considering doing at the moment). These exceeded my expectations. For what it's worth, I'm using then to build a total stainless hitch setup for a great old Toro tractor that was given to me. All the best to you... you won't be disappointed with this purchase

I used these to hold a bench swing under my deck. They're very sturdy, no burrs, & seem very well made. Why these:For me, I needed the bolts, nuts, & washers, so this was the best option, to ensure the nuts would fit properly. So many sizes available, by so many sources, & none are particularly good at telling what size you're getting, so it was worth the extra $$ to get the bolt that already came with washers & nuts that I know will fit.It would have been even better if they gave you 2 washers for each bolt, & if those washers had been a bit bigger. My rafters are too close together to fit my power drill & a drill bit this big between them, so I had to angle it a bit to get me started. That left a slightly bigger hole than I wanted, so a bigger washer would have been nice, on both sides of the hole. I did get it in there, & it worked, so I didn't hesitate to order another set, when I ordered another bench swing. Everyone loved that first one, so I knew I better get a second, if I ever wanted to get a chance to sit on one. : )I think these are more expensive than they should be, but they are very good quality, & it's worth it not to have to search for washers & nuts to fit.

I bought these for somewhere for a ratchet strap to hook onto for my boxes that it wouldn’t move while riding. So far they seem strong and work for what I need

These guys are heavy duty. I used them for a porch swing a few months ago, and I've seen none of the corrosion issues a few other reviews mentioned. Time will tell.WARNING: Tough as they look, remember they cost less than 20 bucks. If you're thinking of using them in any application where someone could be injured, DON'T. There's a reason the price of those key-ring carbineers at the hardware store is fraction of the one at the mountaineering store. It's because you can trust your life to the expensive one. The key-ring ones are not made the same way nor are they tested or certified. They're for holding purses, not people.I'm not knocking the manufacturer, they don't claim to be selling a mission critical product. Nobody could at this price. Like the key ring carbineers, they're very suitable for their intended purpose. I'm just want to warn people that just because these *look* so robust and strong, someone might put one on a boat or use them in some other capacity where failure would be catastrophic. The way a budget carbineer could give you quite a letdown.
